I bought some CCW SP500s with my tax return!
I've been polishing since December....so far I have...
Menzerna IP (X2)
Menzerna FP (X2)
XMT-180 High Gloss (X3)
....here are the new pics!
I just spent my tax return on some CCW SP500s. They are highly polished aluminum and I want them to stay shiney and protected! What is the best product I can put on them? I should have them in a week or two....when I get them, I'd like to put something on them right away before I put them on...
I wish I tried Menzerna products sooner!
With my PC, the Intensive Polish took out some defects that SSRs, Megs 80 and Optimum could not take care of! I did one panel at a time with the IP and an orange pad, then I switched to a white pad and used the Final Polish....one panel at a time...
I ordered some Menzerna IP an FP....so I was looking for a nice topper. I decided on the XMT-180. I picked it because it said "high gloss". I know everything is high gloss, but from my experiences, caranuba waxes are better for white cars.
What is the "autopian" general consensus?
I had some mods done and of course it had to be the worst storms of the year the same day I had my appointment! Needless to say, the car was in its first rain storm in 3.5 years! So I had some mods done (2.76 pulley and tune) then I had to re-detail it! I drove the car on to some 2x4s and got...
On the paint I used Megs #83 DACP and then Clearkote Vanilla Moose....then I topped it with Poorboys EX-P.
On the motor, I used Poorboys bold and bright. I went to Home Depot and bought like 5 different sized foam brushes and went to town for about an hour.
I'm a graphic artist that is stuck in a job that I don't like anymore. The place I work for treats me like crap and I go above and beyond for them. I've applied to 16 other jobs with no reponse! I like what I do, but in this field is hard to find a job...and I don't want to start at the...
This is my brother's 1987 Buick Grand National. I used SSR 2.5 with an orange pad and topped it with EX-P. It looks soooooooooooooo good, and it is officially for sale....$23.5K.
I had some work done to my car last weekend and of course....it had to rain when I took there, so I washed it really good and took some new pics. I had H&R Race Springs, MM FLSCs, MM Cast/Camber Plates, Fiore Quadrant/Adjuster and a CDC light bar installed. As for cleaning it...I used optimum...
I clayed my Cobra yesterday, and I'm gonna start a new process over the next 2 months so it looks perfect in spring. I bought an orange, white and a blue pad for my PC. I clayed the entire car, now I'm gonna hit it with SSR 2.5....so which pad should I use?
