I just started a weekend detail of my car. I purchased a used 2007 metallic black BMW this past Noverber. The temp finally hit 50 today in the NJ so I broke out the detailing products. Paint looked good so I washed car, clayed with new Ice product (picked up locally since I did not have clay...
It is getting warmer in the Northeast and I am ready to shine up the tit silver Bimmer. For polishing the paint, is VM a polish or a glaze? How does it compare to Menzerma Final Polish II for polishing lightly swirled paint? Also, is FMJ that much better (based on price) then UPP for a final...
I own a fairly new Tit Silver BMW. The paint is in great shape. Unlike my previous dark blue car, It seems no matter how hard I try I will never get the same look on the silver car as I could on the dark car, no matter what combo's I try(VM+UPP, AIO+BF, AIO+VM+S100). So here is my question...
Is there any new breakthrough product (wax/polish/etc) hitting the market this year or is the current technology the best? Just like with golf clubs, I always want to use the best technology. Has anyone heard of any new products worth coming out this year?
What combinations work best for metallic silver paint? I had a dark blue car before and loved that just waxed look (wet). Can you get a silver car to look as wet as a dark car? Is there a better wax than others for Silver cars? Let me know. Thanks.
Has anyone tried this product as just a car wash? I hate water spots and if I could wash with this to reduce them as well as get some of the other benefits, that would be great. It seems like a Klasse car wash product? Would love your comments
WOuld I hurt the paints finish if I used AIO after every wash. I love the look of the car after using AIO. Would I need to put a coat of wax over top or would AIO be enough to protect my paints finish.
Also, what is your recipe for the PERFECT SHINE? I have been experimenting with AIO...
Would like your opinion on this Recipe for removing swirl marks and minor scratches on a less than one year old clear coat.
1) use PC 7336SP with a white polishing pad.
2) buff 2' by 2' foot sections with 3M perfect it Paste Rubbing Compound Fine Cut (1200 grade) for no more than 30 seconds on...
My car is about six months old (2002 Dark Blue). I made a mistake in the first month and took my car to the car wash. Never again. Swirls or whatever all over hood. I can only see in direct sunlight or under lights at night. This car is a daily driver. I had someone detail car back in...
