Hey everyone,
Again, nice to be posting up my work online for everyone to see. This car had just over 230,000km on it and from what I can tell had never been detailed. It's been washed, but that's the extent of everything that's been done to it. The owner was going to be selling it very soon...
Hi guys,
I haven't totally disappeared, I just get really lazy when it comes to making and posting my write-ups. I'm ding this now because I have time, ironically while I'm at work :). Anyways, this customer allowed me to do their 2008 Acura TL Type-S in White pearl earlier and I'll have...
Hey everyone,
I've finally gotten around to using the new camera to photograph detailing jobs that I've been doing. Sorry for going crazy with the pictures, I'll be marking spots on the ground from now on where I should take the pictures, and I'll be documenting where and when so I can do a...
Hi everyone,
Long time since my last S&S, but with my new P&S camera, I'll be posting a hell of a lot of pictures from every job I do from now on as a reference.
Background: This car was a referral from an online community board. This car was severely oxidized, contaminated, and had...
Hey guys,
Which painter's tape to I buy, what level of adhesion does it have to have? Is the green stuff too much or too little? Can I get the Blue from wal-mart which is labeled as "medium?"
Anyone try this product yet? It advertises itself as being able to remove yellowing but also still maintaining that wetsanding my be necessary (2000 grit) prior to application. If it works however, I wouldn't mind shelling out $8 to try it out (what it cost OTC)
Hey everyone,
I applied for a small business grant and I want to be able to show a draft of a waiver for estimates, and work completed. I also want to have some basic standard form legal protection on my custom 2-plicate carbon invoices if possible.
IF you're willing to share, please post...
Great spray detailer. Nice and easy to use, reveals a very nice just waxed looked. Two cons:
1) Pricey, very expensive and close to gimmicky
2) Although the quality is there, they assume their competition is OTC brands like Meguiars, Mothers, etc. That justifies a price increase? They're...
Hey guys,
I always invoice via computer to laser printer. I don't have any hard copies which I can write in (i.e. carbon copies). So I've used a GREAT free invoicing program called Volutive. It's free and VERY customizable.
It keeps records, as well as allows a lot of customization. I've...
Hey guys,
Like the title states, how effective is Optimum polish as just a finishing polish? I have used SSR2.5 on a car, and I'd like to remove some minor marring and small thin lines.
I realize that Optimum is a versatile polish and i'd like to use that on a white LC CCS pad, will that...

Hey I was just wondering what the general consensus is on this brand? Is this the dealer brand or is this what most pro industry detailers are using?
Hey Autopians,
I just want to know how to effectively use a steam cleaner/steam cleaning vacuum and a wet-dry vacuum to clean an interior.
How would I use them to clean the upholstery seats as well as the carpets. I tried to read through forum posts on exact procedures, as well as...
I am going to attempt to detail a volvo s40 with those t-tec cloth seats. How can I clean them without ruining their finish?
It's not leather, or a vinyl I don't think, it has lots of tiny pores that show water stains really quickly.
This has probably been asked before about using general house hold products for APCs, but I just want to clarify, if I dilute this enough is it usable?
Does 4:1 and 10:1 apply for heavy cleaning and interior? Or should I go even higher like ? 16:1?
It's the mr. clean multi-surface (on sale...
