    Bentley detail

Hello everyone, I have a new customer that has his Bentley detailed 2/3 times a year by someone from California who comes to Texas for his car and his fathers cars. I washed his car the other day and what a nightmare of swirl marks, scratches and buffer burns. I think this detailer hides...

Well, I am on vacation and we (the family) are headed to Albuquerque, NM. My daughter is attending the US Karate Nationals so we decided to make it a vacation. Looking at eating some good food and having a lot of fun. Any Autopians living in Albuquerque? Business has been so busy that there...

    Cleaning really bad carpets

We detailed a truck the other day and the customer was really concerned with the carpets. He asked if we might be able to get them clean. After looking at them (first photo), we told him that we would do the best we can. After vaccuming them for over an hour, we pretreated and let them set for...

    Viper Twins Detail

I detailed the red Viper today and the interior of the Porsche Boxer. On Tuesday I will detail the black Viper. Real nice cars!!! I topped the red Viper with PoorBoys EXP The black Viper has a lot of swirls so it will take some work on Tuesday to bring it back to showroom.

    Detailed 2005 Blue Vet

This last Saturday I detailed the outside of this very fine blue Corvette (a fellow Autopian). I used Megs #80, followed by Megs #3, and topped it with PS Paste wax. There were a few minor scratches which were deeper than I had hoped. I blended the scratches, but a little wet sanding will be...

    Detailing in Texas Sun

It has been a while since I posted so I finally have a few shots of my latest detailing efforts. These are a couple of cars that I had to detail in the Texas Sun. It was over 100 degrees both times. Other Texas detailers will understand and it is a work of passion :spit: The first SUV is Black...

    New Trailer with custom wrap

Today, I delivered my trailer so they could put the custom wrap on it. It has taken three months to get everything just right inside and out. I am real happy and it is a traveling billboard. I contracted the same company that puts wraps on racing trailers and now I will be getting their business...

    Fuel costs for mobile detailers

How is everyone else dealing with the high fuel costs these days. It is getting to the point that I may have to cut back on some of the boats located at lakes which are quite a distance away. So I was wondering how other detailers are adjusting to the overhead? I do have a chance to buy a...

    Carpet Problem - Customer

I detailed a Mercedes this last Monday and the lady "who was out of the country when we detailed the car" called me yesterday complaining about the carpet and "soap left in carpet". So today I went over and check out her car. What I found was not soap in the carpet, but these areas in the photos...

Other options instead of Megs #83

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am working a lot and need an answer. What other products work the same as #83? I seem to be using #83 a lot and would like other options available instead of the same thing all the time. Also what is the main difference between a polish and a glaze? I...

Polished and Waxed a 50ft yacht

We spent almost a whole day polishing and waxing this 50ft yacht. The owner will not let anyone else touch his boat except me as I did his last two yachts. It seems he keeps upgrading every year. He started with a 42ft, then upgraded last spring to a 46ft, and now upgraded again to this 50ft. We...
