Can you believe they put this on the showroom floor with these swirl marks? [The picture was taken to show the side emblem]
I just can't make up my mind! But, I am now convinced these two systems (Zaino and Blackfire) are quite compatable.
This is an interesting comparison, although in the BF over Z picture it is very cloudy and a light mist is falling...
Zaino over Blackfire:
Blackfire over Zaino:
Washed, Blackfire polish, Blackfire protection and Z2. Wow - looks superb. <whew>
The Blackfire even seemed to speed up the drying time on the Zaino. ZBx?
Detailking ya gotta try this out on your propeller!
My observations on Blackfire - beautiful finish, seems to attract moisture (dew forms really quickly), the finish is not as "hard" as Zaino.
I'd like to think that these products could be compatable, Zaino over Blackfire and viceversa.
I have used Blackfire on top of Zaino, although I...
Well, I had hoped that the winter dirt/sand/salt would just fall off my Blackfired car! Alas, that is not the case. And that slick feeling finish is no more :(
I could not stand the filth so I ran through touchless car wash, and the crud just does not come off clean. Meguir's FI did not...
This is depressing. I had the Blackfire on for three days and now... it snowed! Wet, sloppy crud mixed with salt and sand sprayed all over the vehicle and no point in trying to wash it off just yet.
So far the general look is still good in comparison to other vehicles around, like the crud...
Drove in the rain/junk yesterday, and today dusted off the car with a California car duster. Man did the dusty water spots come off cleanly and easily. I thought Zaino was pretty good in that regard, but Blackfire is even cleaner. No need to go over any spots with a QD, simply a light dusting...
Used DAWN and an aggressive wash to start with, and the DAWN wash process apparently removed much of the Zaino.
Whatever Zaino was left did not interfere with the application or bonding of Blackfire. Looks good, but I did not finish till dusk so I will need to see it in the light to know if...
I live in Minnesota, and so I am preparing for winter. So, heres the wild idea: I have a set of rubber all-season floor mats for the snowy months, and I am thinking about giving them a little Zaino treatment.
Anyone ever tried anything like this?
