Ok, I just got my PC, and have acquired some products...but I was curious how they all stack up as far as abrasive/non-abrasive/how abrasive, etc. also, if someone could point out what I'm missing that would be helpful as well! Mostly this is just polishes...I do have clay, wax, soap...

So do all pads (companies--sonus, excel, lakewood, etc.) use the velcro backing? I was going to buy some excel pads, but I don't really want to have to buy the adapter. Also, do the sonus sfx pads use the same velcro backing plate as the orig. sonus pads? thanks!

I'm using a PC, orange pad, Hi Temp 357. 1st- I've ripped the white velcro backing away from my Sonus Orange Pad...well, halfway. Is there a usual cause for this? Just want to make sure I don't make the mistake again in the future. Don't know if it was too much pressure, or my technique...

I've acquired a car with new paint, but no clearcoat. are there products designed to use on paint like this? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but this is a new area for me... :thx And with the proper care, will the paint last for quite awhile with no clearcoat?
