    Tornador

Is anyone still using this for cleaning non-paint areas? I recently found myself watching the product video today and I like the idea, although you would need a decent supply of compressed air to make it useful. I recall it was quite popular a while back but I wonder if it actually materialized...

Neighbor dispute turned "physical".. sort of. Advice?

OK I admit I'm one of those guys who actually takes care of his home, maintains his lawn, and just puts a lot of effort into upkeep. I mind my business, though, so it's not like I go around instigating trouble because someone doesn't mow their lawn or clean their gutters. Anyway, a nearby...

    Headlight Restoration without a "kit"?

I'll be visiting my parents this weekend and last time I saw my dad's 4Runner, the headlight lenses were completely hazed over and yellow. I'm surprised he can still drive at night for how diffused the light comes out. I think the design of the lens is flawed since the lens curves up and over...

    Paintless Dent Repair in OK

I know a lot of these guys travel for work since they tend to follow storms and such.. I am looking for an experienced PDR guy to work on some minor hail dings and a few other light body ones.

Flex PE14 trigger handle is uncomfortable.

Does anyone else with this polisher feel that the angle or size of the trigger grip seems kind of awkward? Something about the shape makes it rather uncomfortable to keep the trigger depressed for extended periods.. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

    Anyone still around from '08?

Wow this place has changed! I took a hiatus from auto detailing back in 2008 but recently got back into it. Part of what has me excited again is my new Flex PE14 that I've been practicing with; to think of all the years spent on the PC7336 that can't even come close. On a similar note, it looks...

DIY HEPA Filter (for less than $30, too!)

You guys never read my threads () so I'll just get to the nitty gritty for those who can benefit. My allergies are really bad year-round. HEPA filters typically work, but there is too much trouble picking/buying one. I looked online for a DIY HEPA filter. I found this page: Box Fan...

Detailing the Stove..SICK [56k go boil some water]

So I moved into a new apartment and everything seemed top notch.. until I got curious and looked more closely at the range. I guess the last tenant was an expert at burning food and then cleverly hiding it all under the drip pans. The battlefield: I fell for the hype and picked up some...

    Orange Peel = Thick Paint?

Alright this is a question that came up today while I was doing some machine polishing. A topic VERY similar to this came up maybe half a year ago and it quickly turned sour, so I'd hope that we're all adult enough to not let that happen again. Does the presence of mild to heavy orange peel...

Ignore this thread, move on. Nothing to see here.

...unless you have had trouble finding Collinite and Aquapel locally and you have Harbor Freight Tools in your area. They have both 845i and 476s for $13.50. The aquapel was $6.50 and came with the kit. Now I'm going to go kick myself for having ordered 845 from AG a few days ago...

Help me get with the times!!!

Hello all, I haven't really been keeping up with all the new products for detailing nowadays. I have a PC with some Propel pads from a few years ago, but I'm finding that my arsenal of polishes and compounds can't really tackle the condition of the paint on my vehicle anymore. I had a lot of...

i was out on the town and as i was returning to my vehicle, i saw a man standing near my truck in a odd way. as i got closer i realized he was urinating on my passenger side rear tire/wheel area. he finished up, and joined up with the rest of his crew as they went into the establishment...

Optimum Hyper Compound v. Meguiars #83

I need to polish out some isolated scratches and swirls on soft Ford paint. Which one of these products is more abrasive? I'll be using a PC.

Anyone in TULSA want to polish a boat?

I've got someone on another forum looking to get the gel coat on their bass boat polished. I live in OKC so the drive alone would make the job unprofitable. PM me if you'd like the job.

My newest detailing gadget acquisitions! [NO 56k]

So I went into Harbor Freight to buy a $2 roll of masking tape and came out with these little gems.. Both have been available under brand names for some time. The CO2 gun was marketed as a PC duster and the sanding stick was sold by 3M for a while. What I was most interested in was...
