I helped a clear bra installer remove an old bra today and he introduced me to Rapid remover by Rapidtac, what a super solvent. I used it on the adhesive and it worked great, spray, soak and wipe off. I then tackled some tire rubber (race car) and tar and same thing, just great. It is also...
My Weathershield cover fell apart after about 4 years of use. It worked perfectly but I chose to replace with something else that was a little cheaper. It's quilted and looks just fine but it is the terrible at protecting the car. When I remove it the car is filthy just unbelivable...
I read a 2 page article today in "Excellence" about window cleaning and it came down to using Huck surgical towels and distilled water and buffing with clean dedicated MF. I think I like the sound of the distilled water but not sure it will remove much grime. Thinking of IG then finishing with...
I was evaluating some huge blotches, about 2 inches by 2 inches on a red carrera last week and determined that it was under the clear after hitting it with the DA and some fine polish and looking at it under 10x magnification. I decided it was some sort of paint defect and not much I could do...
The other day I applied my NXT paste wax to my sponge applicator and added a spritz of QD to the surface (like we do to the pad when using the DA). The result was that the wax spread easier and more evenly and flashed off rapidly. Wax removal was also very easy, anybody else ever tried this?
I'm detailing a Grand Prix white Porsche that get lots of track useage and I find myself dealing with staining over a 10" x 10" area on the rear bumper around the exhaust pipe. Most of it comes off fairly easy but I'm left with a slight bit of yellow stain after a few passes with an orange pad...
I came across a chenile bonnet and was wondering how to use it. It looks exactly like a chenile wash mit but has draw strings to snug it up on a DA. It fits nicely over a 6 inch pad.
I've tried many products on my Honda Elements clad/plastic textured panels and I think I like the Ice synthetic best. It gives it a nice shine and lasts several weeks and has very little streaking from rain except where it drips down the car like on the rear hatch. I'm going to apply it to the...
I'm very particular about my windows and usually wash with ONR and then go over them with a cut solution of WAUD and they are pretty good, I clean them all the TIME, no dogs, smokers, kids or pets in my cars. I'm no stranger to Stoner's IG either. Well today I ONR'ed them and then went over...
I have some Zaino glass polish and was working on a windshield with some success and was wondering if any of the standard polishes, compounds or cleansers could be used?
I'm unsure how to use this pad can someone give me some guidance. Do you use this pad dry to buff off wax or a polish or do you use it to apply a product?
Customer has a perfect Carrera but mild swirls are visible uniformly all over the car in the sun. He would like to get them removed and I quoted him $100 for a wash, clay, polish and spray wax. I'm thinking 4 to 5 hrs, does that seem about right?
Has anyone ever tried rainX on wheels to try and reduce the dusting. I actually laughed when a customer asked me about this, I said, "why would you do that when you could use wheel wax" but after I thought about it I wondered.
Customer came in and said she had sap on her trunk and could not get it off, she finally used hot water and removed it. The trunk on this Infinity now has four approx 1/4" diameter grey spots where the sap was located. They feel rough and no sap remains. Do you think I should try and polish...
