Hey i have a friend that just bought a 99 Monte from arizona and it feeled gritty so i tried claying it but it didnt do anything. it still feels like its sandpaper. im guessing its just the way cars get from arizona but what can i do with this? will a goodrubbing compound work or what?

Hello, as you will be able to tell im new to this so be patient. I just got a fairly dark red SUV and i want it to look good (who dosnt) I purchesed it about 2 weeks ago and i alredy slapped some mothers cleaner wax on and it looks alot better then it did when i got it. but its not enough...
