    Which Menzerna polishes

Hi, I would like to try out some Menzerna compounds. I have most recently been using the Poorboys SSR polishes. Usually for the type of work I do, I normally use SSR2.5 followed by SSR1 (sometimes with SSR2 in between if it is a dark colour). I very rarely need the SSR3 but I would like to...

Process for seal grey 911 Turbo

I have a Seal Grey 2001 911Turbo that only gets driven ~3000miles per year and lives in the garage. It only really gets dealed once per year (other than a quick wax). The paint is still in good condition with only a very minor swirl, light scratch here and there. I plan to spend a day or so on...

    US Flex 3401 on 240v??

I currently have a PC 1224 which I use in Australia (240v) with a 100VA step down tranny. This works well. I'm now considering a Flex 3401. Now sourcing one from the US (even with bad FX rates) will cost me nearly half what a 240V version would. Does anyone use one with a step down tranny?

Combo for seal grey 911 turbo

Guys, Im after feedback on the best combo for my MY01 Porsche 911 Turbo. The car is seal grey (fairly dark grey) and only has 15,000 miles. The paint was in fairly good condition. When I bought it about 3 months ago, I did the following: 1. Wash 2. Clay where needed 3. Poorboys SSR 2.5...

    Leather conditioner

I want to buy some leather cleaner / conditioner for my Porsche 911 Turbo. The leather is a very soft matte balck leather which is still like new as the car only has 15000 miles. I want something that will soften and protect the leather. I need something that is not greasy and maintains the...

Long lasting combo for white daily driver

I have just bought a small hatchback to use as a daily driver. The car is a 2000 model pulsar sss and is in fairly good condition. There are a few minor swirls, but nothing major. I want it to look nice, but more importantly I want a combo that will be long lasting. I don’t have the time to...

    Pads for rotary buffer

In the past, I have only used my rotary for very heavy cutting on either: 1) Heavily oxidised vehicles 2) Vehicles with very bad swirls 3) Cars that have just come from the panel shop. I then cut back with 1200-1800 grade paper and buff. For these tasks, I use an 8" lambswool pad with a...

    Pads for PC

I'm in the market for some new pads for my Porter cable. I am after some cutting pads and some polishing pads. In the past, I have used LC orange cutting pads and LC white polishing pads (all 6.5 inch) The supplier I have used before no longer carries these. Does anyone know where I can get...

    Combo for white

I am about to detail my white GTR which is basically a garage queen. There are a few very fine swirls, but not many as I did the whole car in SSR2.5 about 6 months ago My plan is as follows: 1) SSR1 with white LC polishing pad 2) PwC with white LC polishing pad (or PP, see below) 3) EXP...

    DP Wheel Glaze

I receievd my DP wheel Glaze yesterday. Upon opening the tub, I was surprised. It is a bit more runny that I expected. I expected a hard paste like paste waxes are, but it is almost runny enough to be in a bottle. Is this normal? Any tips for applying it? Take it straight off, or let is dry...

    Drying with WW cloths

I used to do my drying using a genuine leather chamois. I then moved onto using synthetic Japanese Kanebo type chamois as they seem to have less drag and strip the LSP less. I have now received some WW towels from Poorboys. However, they seem a little harder than what I expected. How should I...

Poorboys PWC as a one step for customers' cars?

Lately, I have aqcuired a few clients who own modified performance cars. In between major details they bring their cars back to me regularly (say once a month). The main reason for this is that the entire rear of the car becomes stained with soot from the exhaust. I have tried both Mothers...

What clay and lube do people use

I have been using the mothers clay bar system, until I recently tried the poorboys clay bar and S&W. I like the poorboys product, but it is a little expensive. I'm looking to try claymagic. Which colour should I try? Should I use the claymagic lube or keep using S&W? Thanks in advance
