I have recently had my hood repainted...... In order to match the finish to the rest of the car, the clearcoat had to be wet sanded..... the guy used sand paper, then he used a wool cutting pad with 3M rubbing compound, then he used a foam cutting pad with Imperial Machine glaze...

Since some punk keyed my hood on sat, tomorrow I am getting my hood repainted. My question is, is it possible to spray several coats of clear on the hood, to increase depth, and reduce chances of clearcoat failure due to excessive swirl fighting?:nixweiss Thanks in advance for your help!

I have tried several car wash soaps, and have come to the conclusion this stuff is reaaaaaaaaaly good for those of use going the carnauba/synthetic wax route..... It doesnt make any foam, it doesnt streak windows or metal parts, and best of all, when you rinse the car, the water beads all...
