Hi all,
On Monday a fellow turned into my 2007 Lexus E350; Smokey Granite Mica which you can see in Click and Brag if you search. I was in the right lane and he tried to make a right turn into Starbucks from the center lane without looking.
I was on my way to the airport and have not...
I'm having a problem cleaning my 2007 Lexus ES350 windshield. This is the original, not a replacement.
The problem is I have what appears to be "sparkly dust particles" on the outside of my windshield. They are only noticeable when light shines on the windshield at an angle, early morning -...
The Hi Tech Magna Sponge (replaces clay bar) got a good review on the Club Lexus site. Has anyone here used it? It looks like the Ultima Elastrofoam which, IIRC, did not get good reviews here. It sells for $13 versus $38 for the Elastrofoam.
From the description at the Auto Detailing...
My wife had a small encounter with our garage. Nothing serious, but there is garage paint on her Honda Pilot. Is it best to remove with a solvent first or start with a polish.
If a solvent, which is best?
Thanks!
I put FK 100P on my Smoky Granite Mica Lexus this weekend. This morning I did a quick ONR to clean off some light dust. The slickness of the 1000P is incredible. The grout sponge and the WW felt like they were gliding over the smoothest glass imaginable.
I've been, and remain, a big fan of...
Well, this was my first full detail. I’ve had my Lexus E350 a little over a year and have been caring for it well, based on what I’ve learned at Autopia. There was some minor marring, I assume from the dealer, but I could have done some of it myself.
Part of my inspiration was...

Some time ago I got some of the plastic razor blades (top of the line sells them) for cleaning my electric cook top and other things. This week I used them when I detailed my car by covering them with a MF. AND I LOVED them.
They never "broke through" the MF and I felt a lot safer with these...
Like most amatures I tend to use too much product. I will be applying 2 coats of DWG tonight with a PC/5.5" blue pad. Can someone give me a good starting point as to how much to put on the pad for say half the hood (Lexus ES). I searched but could not find anything on how much.
Thanks.
When I use FK425, I'm getting some streaking. Could a couple of you experts tell me how much you use per panel and if you spray directly on or spray the pad.
I have a Lexus with several coats of UPGP. I have been spraying FK425 directly on the panels with several squirts (3-5) to "mist" the...
As an amature here, I getting ready to polish my 2007 Lexus ES350 smokey granite mica. The car is one year old and has been very well cared for thanks to all I have learned here. It does have some minor spider-webbing and I want to get it to perfection.
My question is that when I first test...

... when I receive a large box from one of the suppliers and don't remember what I ordered.
The good thing is that it is like Christmas. The sad thing is that I only detail my own car - it's not like I should be ordering tons of stuff - but I am. Guess I'll have to start a part time...
Any thoughts on which would be better for "jeweling" PO85RD or UPPP with black pad? Or is it a toss up?
Car is 2007 Lexus ES with Smoky Granite Mica. I'll be using PO106FF (maybe SIP first, but I don't think it needs it). Car looks great thanks to all I have learned here - just seeing if I...
Sorry to tag on the the title of a previous thread, but I had just the opposite experience and wanted to ask if I'm missing something.
This was my first full detail with a PC. My wifes car - 2004 Honda Pilot, metalic gray, moderate swirls. I first tried PO106FF with white pad and the swirls...
