Can this muffler section polished? What tools would I need? I have a Flex DA and some Optimum Metal Polish but I imagine some sandpaper will be needed?

Hmm.. what did I do wrong? I recieved my flex and my first victim was a red Toyota Camry (moms). Used Optimum Polish and observed about 75% correction in my opinion but since the car was beat up to begin with it looked amazing :woohoo:

I just used my flex for the first time. Just practicing right now as I have never machine polished. I started with Optimum Finish and white ccs pad and saw a slight difference then I switched to Opt Finish + orange pad and saw a big difference:woot: but still felt it...
So I plan on getting a Flex soon. I have never done any kind of machine polishing and figure this is a great product to learn with. Here is what I am ordering along with some Questions.

I tried two different 5 gallon buckets I had in my garage and the grit guard only makes is 3/4 of the way down. So I have a gallon or more of water under the grit guard.
Should my Grit Guard sit at the very bottom of my bucket?

With winter approaching and a garage that is not heated, should I be worried about all the stuff I was forced to buy because of this site? Will the cold cause my waxes and sealants to break down and die?
I was wondering if NXT has cleaning properties :nixweiss . Will it strip off a sealant or wax? Applied some Opti-seal and was wondering if Nattys blue might be a better topper?
