    Hilton Head Concours

Flying down to Hilton Head to check out the Concours and other events on Sat. and Sun. Anyone else going? I`ve never been to this particular show, but it`s been on my list for several years. For me, Keeneland is always the most fun, but we`ll see how this compares, vehicle and atmosphere-wise...

    White wax applicator pads...

One Griot's product I really would like to see offered again are the "White Wax Applicator Pads." They were just high quality foam, good oval-like shape, and worked great for wax and sealants, and you could cut them apart into different shapes for rubber protectant applications, etc. I would...

Lancaster Co. PA Smartwax OTC Lititz, New Holland, Ephrata, Blue Ball, etc.

Back home in PA now,,,, this usually means a little jaunt into Lancaster County with my family to the Mennonite-owned stores, cool harware places, pretzel company outlets, etc.   Saw a nice display of the full line (I mean clay, all chemicals, etc. realy cool display) of Smartwax OTC at:  ...

    Cincinnati / Ault Park Concours

Anyone else go? Made it there yesterday- some nice vehicles in a fantastic setting!   Ferruccio Lamborghini's personal Islero was there... think that was about my favorite in the show.   Keeneland at Lexington is coming up next month!

Off topic - Any Adobe Indesign experts here?

Anyone really good with Adobe ID?   I have a question about baseline grids vs. text leading size. Anyone, anyone???

    Autosol... still around.

Workday finished... check. Look at Autopia for a few minutes... check. Remember to see if Autosol metal polish is still around... check. What's this one though - for "chomed plastic" grilles or...? Actually zoom in on the box.. it is! Weird- never saw it before. Maybe someone out there...

Hose shutoff... anyone used Adams-type Dramm shutoff?

Thinking of ordering some of these for my wash setup... is this photo correct? I thought I read somewhere that the flow is "on" when the lever is horizontal, not in line with the fitting. If this photo is not correct, I'm not buying 'em. Seems like the washing with the lever sticking out is...

    Vac for cars / garage

I'm in the market for a new shop vac. for heavy-duty home use and the cars. I have the Metrovac and a small dyson for small-scale stuff, but my cheap, larger vac is worn out. I've decided to just go with Lowe's on this one, to keep it simple. Looking to spend $150 - $450... keep in mind it's...

    Hi-Temp Prep wash name

Just heard from Robert at Hi-Temp: Prep Wash is now known as: HT-806 AKRYA KLEAN. They always get back to you quickly when you have questions.

Perfect plate frames harder to find - Griot's

Just got word from Griot's that they are phasing out their super-high qual. stainless plate frames. It was always nice to get these, take them out of the plastic envelope and put them on the car (with the clear cover and bolt-hiding caps). Haven't looked for a different source for 15 years...

Been a while now since "Reviews" worked

I haven't followed the history of this issue, but I still can't see/use "Reviews" the way I could months ago. Liked to look at that section/do reviews once in a while. Still a known issue that is being worked on? Thanks.

SHARK TANK / Edge 2000 guy!?

I didn't notice if anyone posted about it yet, but did anyone see the "Shark Tank" episode with Aaron Krause of Dedication to Detail/The Edge (pads)? He made a deal with his smiley-face Scrub Daddy sponge. I knew I recognized him from somewhere, then figured it out today.

    Disposable cotton wipes - cheaper

At least one well-known company offers throwaway cotton wipes for exhaust tips, chrome, etc. Nice, but pricey. Good alternative... I'm on my third roll: Amazon.com: Webril Handi-pads 8x8 Bag 100 Wipes / Roll: Arts, Crafts & Sewing

Weather Tech: anyone try it? Can only buy so many chemicals...

Anyone try the Weather Tech Protector product for floor mats yet? It's supposed to dry to an "anti-slip finish." Been using Autoglym, 303 and Adam's... I dunno, I wonder if its worth trying or not. Re-packaged?

Just some useless blabber about sprayers...

I still use my 7 or 8 Griot's "Finest Sprayers," but was disapointed that they changed the design (the newest one's not bad though). That "finned" design was also around at Home Depot, etc. One day they were just not available anywhere. Today I went out over lunch to buy Zep's Citrus and Purple...
