    Polish/Wax on Plastic Body Panels

    I am about to polish my father's GMC pickup. I noticed that the side panels on the bed of the truck are made of plastic. Should I polish and wax this using the same methods as painted metal? I will be using a PC with a white pad/1Z medium polish then some Glanz Wax.
