    PC7336 vs Meguiar's G110v2 - Is the difference significant?

I currently have a Porter-Cable 7336 that I purchased several years ago at Lowes. I'm an ocassional user and use it on my personal vehicles only. I also picked up Meg's DA Microfiber kit and plan on using it soon. To that end, I've recently begun watching videos of how to use the DAMF system...

Just Need to Vent (surprises in my newly-acquired car)

Sorry guys, I need HAVE to vent. I've had this on my mind for a few days now, and I can't stop thinking about. Perhaps some venting therapy will help LOL. Feel free to skip this thread of you don't want to hear a story. Anyway, I purchased a used 2006 Ford Fusion from a Ford dealership in...

    Who makes these MF towels?

I visited my local detail supply store last week for some APC, and while I was there I perused their selection of MF towels. I grabbed a few waffle weaves that they guy was selling as "glass towels". When I asked him who made them, he said "someone in China." Not very helpful. Anyway, based...

Are either of these MF sponges good?

I have used genuine sheepskin mits for years, but all of my local sources have dried up lateley (nobody local carries them anymore). So today I visited Target and Walmart, and picked up their respective MF covered sponges. Any thoughts on these? Are they any good? The Target VROOM is 100%...

Looking for reviews/recommendations for Riverside and San Bernardino CA area

I recently purchased a used Ford Fusion (dark blue) that has some serious swirls and halos from very poor buffing job(s). I'm looking for some reviews and recommendations for detailers in the area. Interior also needs a little attention, but not too bad at all. Looking for mobile detailers...

Wal-mart no longer carries sheepskin mits?

I used to get my sheepskin mitts from Wal-mart. I haven't needed a new one for a while, but I recently went to 3 different stores, but none of them have them anymore. What's up with that! Are there any other decent mitts out there at chain stores??? Or, are there now better options out...

My windshield "grabs" when I try to clean it

I don't know why, but whenever I try to clean my windshield, both inside and outside, it gets very "grabby" with the towel. To the point that I can't give it a nice final wipedown. It doesn't even help if I slightly mist the towel first; in order for it not to grab, I have to wet it...

ARRRGH!!! Can't get windshield crystal clear

I use both Meg's Detailer's line glass cleaner and/or IG. Lately, both have been "appearing" to be clean when I do them, but the next morning when the sun hits it just right, it looks like some wack-job from the local carwash cleaned them. Not only do I see a haze, and the associated marks...

Looking for great detailer in Riverside/San Bernardino

Looking for someone who does excellent exterior polishing and finishing. My 2005 blue F150 has some swirls that I want REMOVED, not filled in. I recently did a clay, and used Megs #80 with a PC, but it didn't completely take care of it. I work in San Bernardino. Looking for someone mobile.

I thought purple clay was super agressive???

A few weeks ago, I went to my local detail supply shop. I asked for a Meg's blue mild clay bar. The guy asked what color I was going to use it on. I told him medium blue, and pointed to my truck (2005 F150). He proceeded to say that he recommends this purple clay for all but very dark colors. He...

    Ultrafina SE vs Megs #80

What are the differences between these 2 products? How do they compare? On my 2005 medium blue Ford F150, I usually use Megs #80 with a Megs polishing pad on my DA. That does a faily decent job of removing the spider webs/swirls, but some are left behind. Tomorrow I will be detailing...

    Duragloss CWC - Yummy! LoL

Based on many recomendations here, I went to my local Carquest and picked up a 16oz bottle of DG CWC, along with the AquaWax. Went home, and washed my truck this evening. Well, I think I'm in love with this stuff. First, the smell is amazingly good. Secondly, the lubricity of this stuff...
