I used my 4" yellow pad on a detail today to do the whole car and now the middle of my pad is quite soft while the outside rim still feels fine. Used SFX 3 polish at mostly speed 6.. Is this a defective pad or can the 4" not take speed 6 on my PC very well? Thanks

I've always just did a quick rinse with water after I clay before I polish. Doing a detail with no water source tomorrow and I guess I'm just wondering is what I'm doing needed. Thanks
