Apart from water beading is there any test to see if wax is present and protecting?

Has anyone applied AIO with a PC. Any advice as would rather do it by PC to save my back. It will be on a new car and would i need to mask up?

Using a cleaner/wax is not recommended as it may dull the final finish offered by SFX-3. Found this line on Autopia, can anyone recommend a non cleaner/wax to apply over SFX 3. Thankyou
