Bird stuff

Car Detailing Whore
I was using some Megs #6 on a 2000 Vette 2 days ago and had just got through applying it. So I am rolling around the car on my little creeper (Which I might add was the best $40 I have EVER spent) applying tire dressing. I get to the third wheel and I see this nice freshly applied ammount of bird crap. So I quickly run over grab my Sprayway glass cleaner and a terry towel. I spray the surface, wipe it off, and then aggresively reapply some Megs #6 on the area with a damp terry applicator.

Did I do this right?

I probably would have used a QD to remove the bird crap, but anything is better than leaving it. The glass cleaner shouldn't hurt the paint and since you went over it with the wax right away, you are probably good to go.
The only way to be sure is to take the car for about a 50 mile test drive.:D

I usually use a qd. I take the QD and place a towel under the bird spot(or which ever way the qd will run), then I spray the spot until most of it is gone, it takes a couple of sprays. After most of the spot is gone I qd the spot as I would normally do. The reason I do this is because birds sometimes eat rocks which they latter poop out and can end up on your car. If you just grabbed some qd and started wiping, you may drag tiny rocks across your finish:eek: BTW I am speaking from experience.

Hey Charles, that 2000 Vette is in my family. I have driven it many times, and I would take my Stang over it any day. I see lots of C5 Corvettes, but only a few truly well kept Fox Stangs.

Well, anybody that has the guts to put a product on the market called "BIRD SH#T REMOVER" (Poorboy)............ gets my vote! :D :D :D

I enjoyed your suggestions but I'm afraid somebody forgot to mention the most important part!

Get a shotgun and nail the F'in bird who had the gall to drop a fat gooey one on your vette...
