How does Meg's Medallion Paint Cleaner compare with SEPC/GEPC on new finishes?

Is this a new vehicle or freshly painted vehicle?

IMO, Megs MPC is a strong cleaner, were as SEP is very mild. If this was new car I would use clay, SEP and wax.

The Medallion is a pure paint cleaner no gloss enhancement. You need to follow this up with a polish. SEPC is a polish that has cleaning capabilities. As edshwab said it all depends on the paint condition. Medallioin followed up with SEPC and then a wax is a great combination.

Thomasfl hit the nail right on the head! The only thing I would add is that the Medallion PC is an excellent pure paint cleaner! I really like using the Medallion before any polish, as I like to get any crap off the paint before polishing. Make me feel better knowing that the only thing the polish needs to do is........ "polish"! :D

One quick thought on the Medallion paint cleaner. If you compare the performance of the Medallion to the red bottle 3-step department store stuff the differences are not noticable if there are any. At least this is my opinion.

The Medallion and a polishing pad on your PC is a nice system to clean up paint in decent shape. I find it refines small hairline scratches and im my opinion is polishes the surface just a little bit.

I have followed the cleaner with a coat of wax skipping the polish at times. On light colored cars it works great. :)

Best regards,

No its not abrasive on any paint really. It cleans with a chemical instead of an abrasive like a compound.

Sometimes on newer paint I use it instead of claying and then I wax. I like it and if you try it you will be pleased.
