Woolite 6-1 and stuff

On the advice of a few I tried the Woolite/water 6-1 combo on my vinyl and leather - MAN O MAN this stuff rocks! and the best part

At BJ Wholesale I got a 100 oz Woolite for 9 bucks, and 4 cool spray bottles for 5 bucks. The spray bottles have various ratios right on the side - 4/1 5/1 2/1 (no 6/1 so I just did a lil under 5 and filled).

anyhoo it cleans the vinyl and leather awesome leaves it looking like that matte finish I had the day I picked it up - not a big fan of the smell it leaves behind - sorta smells like baby wipes? :) but the conditioners I use take car of that...

for a 15 buck investment I have enough vinyl and leather cleaner to last till the roaches take over!

I get my spray bottles there too :bigups. I was thinking of getting their generic floor shine gallon for $6 for trying on wheel wells. Might be similar to Mop & Glo

groebuck does this clean better than the Meguiars #39? (The heavy vinyl + leather cleaner) Hmmm I have some dollar store sprayers but I think they are useless. Thinking of Sam's Club for some. Spare me some Woolite? :)

Try it on your MF, heard its safe for cleaning

not sure about 39 but does a great job - think it's more gentle than heavy duty,

I found that out too. I use it on 90% of the cars I do. When there's no need for a harsher product, I don't use it. It has a problem with really caked on stuff but other than that it's the only interior cleaner I use.

The 6:1 Woolite is a favorite of mine for leather and vinyl, but your statement brings up a question in my mind.
Are you also using it for carpet and cloth upholstery? I probably read something into your post that you didn't intend, but I thought I would ask. It seems like it would leave a soapy residue in cloth of any kind so my question seems dumber every time I read it. :-p

Since I've started using it, I've never looked back :cool .

How is this compared to APC+ by Meguiars? Interesting. Groe you need to show me this stuff!

Meg's APC+ at 12:1 is what I use for most all my interior cleaning. cloth seats, carpet, carpet mats, sometimes for vinyl, but not leather. Since I started using the Woolite 6:1 for leather, I have also started using it some on vinyl. Kind of whichever product I am using when I get to the vinyl.
Now to get to the point. The Woolite 6:1 seems to be a stronger cleaner than the APC+ at 12:1. Now, is that good, or not so good? Stronger cleaning power probably also means more harsh on the product being cleaned. I guess the fact that Scottwax uses it for leather, (that's where I got the idea), on the high dollar cars he works with, it sure ought to be O.K. for my Pontiacs.

No, just the vinyl/plastic. I have an extractor that I use for the fabric, I spot clean with Simple Green/DM Dry Clean (local company) before I extract. I tried using Woolite on fabric and it just didn't turn out how I liked.
