tell me how you guys do it

Just a couple curious questions, what do you guys do for paint sealant? do you apply by hand or machine? any feed back would be much help thanks guys! :cool

I like to apply by hand. Its a good selling point if you're in the business..

It's very easy to apply by hand and I usually do. The polisher is for polishing.....that is bringing the surface to a luster and then wiping on a layer or 5 of sealer to protect the luster.

I use my PC for layer 1 - I get much more even coverage and use much less of the product.

Depends if I'm layering. For the first layer I do it by PC to get thin, even coverage, and anything after that I gently apply by hand so I don't disturb the underlying layer.

sounds like its by hand then thanks for the feed back! Any good products you would recomend? also is sounds like it's best to apply it a couple of times in a row? am i getting this correctly? anyhow thanks guys.

Apply the sealant at least twice although if I'm not mistaken the consensus is to put on 3 coats. Wait at least 24 hours in between putting on coats. I like UPP,EX and EX-P. I like Wolfgang's but it darkened my silver so I leave that for dark colors.
