Hey fellow detailers.

I am a part time detailer with limited time and equipment. My clientel is more of the high end autos that do not require much work. They are all well taken care of and have good paint finishes. My question is what hand applied hand removed quick wax would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance for any info.

My detailing is limited to my own vehicles, but Klasse AIO seems to be the best one-step I have ever used. Fast, easy, always does a good job, has as much durability as most one-steps, and you can top it with anything or leave it as a stand alone.:)

I too think that klasse aio is a great product.. Easy to use, costs ~$20 for 16.5oz (~0.5oz per application, totalling about 35 applications, possibly stretchable to 40?). The stuff is pretty durable too in comparison to most waxes... You'd probably get about 60 - 90 days of protection with it alone.

The one other product I'm thinking of is s100 paste wax. The main disadvantage to it is that it doesnt have cleaners. I'd say you can get about 50 cars out of a jar for $15 dollars. Besides the price advantage, I feel that i'm more comfortable slapping on s100 quickly and thoughtlessly than with aio, which i would more cautiously ration out. Erik, are you adamant about using a liquid wax?

what raymond_ho2002 said:)
AIO with SG for added durability(a i liter cottle will last forever it seems, takes VERY little to do a car, we are talking cc's, not ounces using SG.
For a carnuba, S100/P21S is the way to go.
Either product and there is no "wax stain" left on the trim which makes detailing easier and LOTS faster.

One reservation I have with using SG, besides the cost, is its durability. That is, it lasts a loooong time. Since you're running a business, do you really want to use something that'll cost more AND keep them from coming back for more frequent detail jobs?

S100 provides reasonable durability for paid work.. SG is probably too good of a bargain for the customers. :D

Hey Raymond,

I have the highest respect for the advice you get from the other guys but I have a different opinion of the Klass SG.

I have used it several times and I dont see it doing magical things the paint. lol I mean that it didnt appear to last any longer than the sealants I use. I dont see it beading up water or giving a slick feeling any longer than my favorite Collinite Insulator or the sealants I use.

On the other side the AIO is the easiest to use polish/protectant I have ever used and I like it alot. The more I play with it the more I like it. It has a permanent place in my kit of supplies.

Just my .02 and I hope you find great success with Klasse if you decide to use it.

If the finish is as good as you say then I'll go along with AIO as a good one-step choice although it doesn't really have that deep warm glow that I like. Poorboys Polish with Carnauba is another one to consider. You can use it in the sun or shade which is nice for mobile guys. It's extremely easy to use and leaves a nice shine. Another on-step that comes to mind would be Pro's Pro-Gold. I've heard the Pro-Gold is very good although I've not used it myself.

I forgot to mention what I use for a cleaner/wax. I use One Grand Clean-N-Wax. I buy it by the gallon for around 28 bucks i think. I like it for its cleaning ability and the decent shine. I dont slap it on fine cars lol but I use it for a one step product that is easy to use.

If I want a nicer shine I go over the top of it with Blitz or another decent wax.

Well...while Ilove Klasse AIO also I guess I am going to be odd man out here.

It would seem that what this guys needs for his business is something more along the lines of Hi-Temps Poly Spray.

Easy to use, can be used on windows, chrome and all types of paint. Spray on the paint when it's wet, allow it to haze while your doing the wheels and vacuuming then wipe it down. Will not discolor trim and molding.

It lasts between 4 to 6 weeks, depending on conditions, so this is a perfect product for re-applications if you care for cars and detail them monthly.

Hey that does sound good! I can imagine that on a vehicle in decent shape it would be a nice thing to use after a wash. The point about putting it on glass is nice too. I might get some and try it! :)

Anthony,
You have recommended that product several times. Looks like I am going to have to "give it a go" :)
Before I do, how does it work and what is it:)
Can you put it over existing wax or sealant for added protectin?
A lot of the stuff out there wants you to "strip" the finish and start over with the product you plan to use, is the hi-temp stuff compatable with other products?
Just curious..., it sounds like a GREAT maintenace product..., I will just have to try:)
