A few comments on banning

Ok, I'll throw in on this...

Dwayne runs a really great site here - he's made it that way.

The Fuzz cleans the place up with the speed of lightning (unfortunately since I always miss the fun it seems) :)

There are lots of great folks on here - they've helped keep it the great place it is.

And finally, anyone miss any of the banned ones?

Now, as for the whaler... He's brought a lot of fun to the board. And since there is more than enough of the whaler to go round the whole of the internet, still, we get to claim him as our very own right here on Detail City!! Now what other site has such bragging rights! Am I right or what!

On the other hand, the whaler has been banned from almost every beach in the world! :lmfao

I for one, hate to see anyone banned. However, if I go to the library and raise my voice and disturb others, I'm asked to leave. It isn't so much a matter of censorship, as much as it is about respect for others. Granted, it is a public place, but I also owe some respect to the others that are using the same facility. Many times on a messageboard, the postings are only a part of the problem. There is also the email contact that can be crude, at times. These things are only known by the people involved, and the moderators. I agree, no need to gloat, but no one has been banned from DC for no reason, from what I know. I think I know Dwayne pretty well now, he doesn't opperate that way. Anyone that gets banned, deserves it.

The sad part of this (in this case the reason I believe this thread was started) is that the person being banned just moves on to another board and does the same thing. Most of us can look forward to reading the same things just on another forum.

But, we still have the option of ignoring any posts that we find objectionable.
It doesn't take long to decide if the thread or post is of any interest to me. I try to take from it whatever seems of any value and ignore the remainder.
Kind of like a bad book or a bad movie. You don't have to read or watch all of it.
Works for me.

I really need to pop in more often on the weekends. :lol Dwayne bans me on a fairly regular basis it seems. ;)

You know... the funny thing is that if you go over to Autopia and check out MFM's post history, he hasn't posted anything since the end of March. It seems he did most of his stuff over here. Maybe now they will all get the pleasure of his company again. :lmfao We should be good neighbors and warn them or something..... ....Nah! :naughty

Just curious! How can he/anyone threaten someone thru the computer? Are you talking about doing bodily harm? :dunno

Sounds like that guy was a candiate for the: "take behind the woodshed, and give him a severe beating and then ban him category!" :D

If you don't give me your Natty wax, I PROMISE I'll CORRECT your grammar, you have 2 hours to comply:moon: Be afraid ,be very afraid:LOLOL

Can someone tell me who we are talking about (MFM) Thanks

I also think that this site is great, I post at a few sites and this one always draws me back because of the info and the people.
You can ask the crazy question and still get an answer.

However I do love a good banning and read about them go down in flames.:lmfao :lmfao :lmfao

Thanks

I got a someone nasty PM from Jim Campos at Crystal Guard that I have dished his product on here. All I said was that the certificate seems like its misleading. Guarantee for life of the car seems a bit over the top.
