I just purchased a PC 7424 with the 3 pad accessories. Can you guys layout the steps for the following

1. Applying a glaze/polish first and then removing it.

2. Applying a wax and removing it

The above utilizing the PC 7424

Also is there a pad available to actually remove the wax with the PC 7424?

First things first. Read and follow the manufacturers instructions.
If they say use a damp pad, then use a damp pad. Same way with using a dry pad. Supposed to wipe it off right away, don't let it dry for 30 minutes. Supposed to let it dry for 30 minutes, don't wipe it off right away.
You can avoid a lot of problems just reading and following instructions,

>>1. Applying a glaze/polish first and then removing it.
Apply with a foam applicator pad.
Remove with a MF or cotton towel
With a PC, use a polishing pad to apply, remove with MF or cotton towel

>>2. Applying a wax and removing it
Apply with a foam applicator pad.
Remove with a MF or cotton towel
With a PC, use a finishing pad to apply, remove with MF or cotton towel

No. You can get a MF bonnet that goes over a PC pad, but I don't know of anyone that uses them.

There is mixed opinion on this, but you can put a MF towel on the paint, set your PC at 1 or 2 speed, place the pad on the PC and let it do the work. I do this once in a while, but it's not necessarily any faster. Helps justify buying the PC, though.

Where you will appreciate the PC is if you have minor paint blemishes or swirls. You can remove many of those.

Thanks Charle, I have some scratches from the car wash that I hope the PC will remove. Should I use the polishing pad here or the cutting pad. I also bouht along with the PC 7424 a set of Meguires pads.

Can you explain again whhat you sometimes use to remove wax?

Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 with a polishing pad has worked good for me. I don't own a cutting pad, but I have heard of people using one with polishes. I just never felt I had the need for it. If you already have one, it might be intersting to try it on a section to see how it works.

What I do is put a finishing pad on the PC. I think any pad would do since it isn't going to be in contact with anything but the MF towel. I then put the MF towel between the pad and the vehicle, turn on the PC and let the PC remove the wax with the MF towel.

do you do this with vertical panels as well? is there much chance for the MF to fall off?

Yes, I use it on the verticals as well.
No, it isn't a problem with the MF falling off. It can but it isn't difficult to keep in place.
The MF grips to the foam pad pretty well. It doesn't fly off at all.
