I'm refusing to wax/polish/clay my car until the detail day. I'll wash and Quik Shine it, but I really want to see what I can do with the defects it currently has.

Scott P, I'm not a big fan of that bag, I would rather have a plastic tool box (Lowes $10-15). I just checked on Ebay again, and called a guy, but no better deals than what are already listed. I personally have an Edge adapter, but I think I will put it on the rotary, and save the PC until a better unit arrives. So for the time being, let's get a list together of people who want the Makita for a better price. I will email Dwayne to respond.

Well folks, I emailed Dwayne and unfortunately, PAC cannot go lower than the already low $179.99 shipped. Dwayne was very nice to email and explain that PAC is a specialty shop and does move the volume of Rotaries like a hardware store. I can totally understand this!!

As I mentioned earlier, I got mine for $159 shipped on ebay. I had a bidding war with a Mustang guy right at the end. I haven't seen one cheaper than that.

Me either Scott, that was a good deal. Cheapest one now is $159 plus $15 shipping. I'll pay $4 more at PAC if that's the lowest.

Nick, thanks for following up with Dwayne. It's too bad he can't do better on the rotary pricing, but I agree with you that I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to support PAC than buy at a similar price from someone else.

Well, cruised on ebay today for the first time since posting this thread and ran into this auction with 4 hours left. At the time it was sitting at $120, ended and came out to be $150.xx shipped and insured. I couldn't pass this one up.

I have 3M's Perfect It III here (and better stuff) and don't want the bag, as that really isn't a means of protection. It looks as if this is a tool distributor, so I did ask if I could buy outright some others in an email to them at the same or near same price. We'll see how it pans out. :dunno

gokimco i believe also sells quite a few pc 7424s do a search on ebay and you should find it. group buys on pc's are hard, but maiktas u can get a deal.

Ha ha my friend, I guess patience (which is not a virtue I have at all) finally paid off. Actually, I just got lucky. The $30 I saved vs. PAC is being spent now over there ordering more goodies!
I talked to Aaron today, and I'm picking up a Black/Yellow wool pad. Black for when I wetsand, and yellow for some ugly non wetsanding cars. Other than that, I have 3 Edge Durafoam 2000's waiting to get used!
