What looks good on white?

I am about to detail a couple of white vehicles and realized that I have never detailed that color before. What is the best plan of attack for great shine. I have the entire PB line, AIO, and UPP. Toppers I have Natty's, Souveran, TS, and Pizazz.

I just did a Solara (Pearl White) and it was in decent shape when I started, some light swirls

1) Wash
2) Clay
3) PP
4) SSR1
5) EX-P (2x)

:yeah I prefer not to put wax toppers on white as it will take away some of the clarity. :)

owner of 3 white vehicles among others:D

I found Klasse ( AIOx2 and SGx3 ) was a really nice finish on white, and so to was AIO -> S100.
*same car, both times prepped with Menzerna FP.

I used AIO/SG on my white car last time. I like it but this weekend I used PP/UPP on a light tan car and it was REALLY clear. I'm using it on my car next time it needs it to get a better comparason.

I like PwC and EX-P on white. It really allows for depth (as much as you can get on white) and sharp reflections.

I like VM, EX-P (x2), CMW on white. This combo produces a glossy and dripping wet look. It does sacrifice some clarity and reflectivity.

For the products you mentioned, I would try SSR1, PwC, EX-P (x2). Maybe top with Natty's.

I like PP and EX-P on white. Seems to be about the best look I've found yet. Always looking for a new combo though. I'll have to try the VM.

If it's clarity on white then I would go PP and EX-P - use the ssr line as needed to address the paint issues - maybe ssr1 then ex-p. I did ssr1 and a sealant that shall remain nameless (sorry steve not my ex :(). and let me tell ya BLING BLING!!

That is what is REALLY great about Steve's stuff it works great with any other product you throw it in with!

Yep, I would go with any "clear/reflective/wet" looking combo..........

PP/EX-P/Natty's would be great.
AIO/UPP/Natty's is another good one.

Duragloss ;) - tried it a while back and liked it - gave it another whril sunday and it came out great - slick and glossy!

My Favorite so far is ...
Prep the paint (swirl removal, etc.)
SSR 1 with PC and polishing pad on max speed
3 coats of UPP ... applied 24 hours apart.
Since you probably don't have three days to detail each car, one coat should look pretty awesome too.
When I applied AIO befor UPP it seemed to give the finish more of a warm look but not as wet and reflective as going straight from SSR 1 to the UPP.

Has anyone tried a AIO/NXT Tech wax combo? If not, what are you thoughts on that combo?

The AIO/NXT would probably be a good combo. Although, the light cleaning ability of the NXT would probably remove some of the AIO protection.................... I bet it would still look nice though.

If you want to use the NXT, you might want to try Meguiar's ColorX, then NXT.

yeah the AIO and NXT combo came out nice on my metallic black and a metallic blue workmate's car I did 2 months back. People have had some durability issues with NXT but I have found that while it loses its slickness quite quickly, the protection lasted the 2 months with that combo no worries on the blue car ( and he has washed it twice :( - wonder why I bother sometimes although I did get paid! ;) ).
Im sure the cleaning properties did partially strip some of the AIO but I believe that there was still some left anyway. And IMO, I dont rate the "protective" qualities of AIO regardless, but it is the best prep product I have used. Im sure its a combo that wont disappoint!

I went back to Natty's this weekend on my white pearl wagon, and got the "pop" I was looking for. I had 1z under the Natty's but the Natty's brightened the paint even more. I also tried Natty's over Zaino on white and that came out nice also. The Natty's gave the car a nice wet look.

a while back i used ssr2, ssr1, then NXT on a white car. i was actually reallly amazed at how much it shined as she drove out. it nearly made me blind, it was like the sun was in the street. too bad for that durability issue........

I'm thinking speed glaze then nxt would be a great combo since the speed glaze leaves behind a polymer protection.
