Wax topper removal...

Kind of as an aside to my last post (regarding a topper to sealants)...
1.) I am curious to know if it is possible to remove just the wax topper and not hurt the sealant underneath in order to add more sealant?

2.)As it is right now, I like being able to apply more layers of Zaino if desired after washing. If I top with a wax I assume I can just add wax whenever it gets diminished right (sealant layer still intact)?

3.) Would it be possible to put down another layer of Zaino after 3-6 weeks since the wax may be gone by thenot should I go thru the whole Zaino process?

Sorry if this sounds confusing just some questions, but if possible I really would like to ultimately:
-prep (wash, clay, polish, etc..)
-apply Z1 then a few layers of Z2
-apply wax topper (something like natty's or S100, etc)
and be able to just QD and wash with the ability to add a new layer of wax every few weeks and not have to re-Zaino for 6 months or so....does that work? Thanks for the advice and patience with this wordy post!

I understand what you're asking. I just don't know if it's possible. Using something to remove the topper (Dawn, polish, clay, Prepsol) would probably cut into the Zaino. How much, I don't know. I personally would assume that anything that you use to remove the topper would remove some or all of the Zaino.

Dawn will remove the topper if its a carnuba and leave the Zaino .. Clay will degrade the Zaino and polish and prepsol will both take the Zaino too.

QDs lasts a very short time and most carnubas especially S100 have a short life.

Dawn will not remove Zaino.

Before you can add more Zaino you will have to remove all waxes and oils.

During the hot summer months you're wax isn't lasting very long anyway. A Z7 wash should do it. Spray the panel down with Z6 and you should be fine. BTW - I and others here have gotten great results with Zaino without following the Z ritual. I've used it directly over various other products such as Glare and EX and i've also used it without Z1 or ZFX and it always worked great. Just make sure your surface is clean and apply it super-thin and you'll be cool.

I don't see how Dawn will NOT remove Z....

:dunno Couple years ago I emailed Sal a few questions, and one of his responses included that a Dawn wash will not remove Zaino...

There is also the question of how much wax that Dawn will actually strip in one use. It's harsh, but s it that harsh to cut through everything?
