Pro athlete car pics and story

Goof Off Rocks!
Sorry, but for obvious reasons, I can't say who it is. Hint...can you say pigskin? This was the first time I've done his cars. I got the deal by sponsoring a hole at a charity golf event put on by the Denver Bronco's. I took a gamble with the money I spent on it but figured if it got me one client, I'd use the opportunity to try to get referrals. I figured that even if nothing came of it, I got exposure and the chance to meet a bunch of pro's. With athletes being so tight with their teamates, I thought referrals might be pretty easy if I got one person. We'll see if I'm right, I hope! I'll keep you all informed.

I ended up golfing with this guy and had plenty of time to build raport and talk about cars. The pairing couldn't have been better. This guy is car nuts! And has never let anyone touch his cars. Funny, he worked in a detail shop at a dealer in high school! He said he spends 12 hours or more a month keeping up on his cars, said it wasn't a money issue "obviously" but an issue of trusting someone to do it for him. Anyways, we hit it off well and I went out to his 'Estate' on Friday and did the first of four cars. Finished up two then and two yesterday. Sorry no camera on Fri.

Here is a list of his cars:
2003 Mercedes S600 Silver 493hp Stock! $150,000!
Did some stuff to get over 600hp out of hit. HOLY CRAP!
2005 Mercedes CLK55AMG Cabriolet 362hp Pic below
2004 Hummer2 supercharged Pic below
2003 F350 dually diesel (King Ranch Edition) his toy hauler. Quite the toy collection I must say.

Anyways, these cars were all in sweet condition. Except the H2, his daily driver, funny how he has these sweet little fast and fun to drive cars and he uses the H2 for a daily driver. I should have shot a before pic on the H2. He had been off roading in the Moab and it was friggin muddy as hell. I made all of the cars look like new. I mean perfect. Again, I really want the referrals.

On fri we talked about microfibers, he had no clue, but was impressed with them. Yesterday, I brought him a dozen new towels, a cheapo laundering bag with my company embroidered logo sewn on, a few bottles of Megs Final Inspection, and detailed instuctions for the MF's care. Even though I set him up on a monthly schedule, he thought the gift was the coolest thing so he can touch up the cars in between visits.

I am so friggin excited about this deal, I just can't explain it. I bet I have a good shot at tickets too!

This is a case of having to spend money to make money. The details didn't come close to covering my cost for the golf event, but I'm sure it will in time, and if the referrals come, It'l be gravy!

For every one of these deals, I get twenty crap boxes. I'm doing a 96 caravan interior this afternoon. Home of 5 year old triplets, has never been detailed. Do don't be too jealous!

Sorry, Frozen,
I didn't have my dig camera on friday and he was driving the S600 when I was there yesterday. I'll be doing his cars regularly so I will take some nice pics and postem next month.

That is awesome Denver.... I am glad to see you got some sort of business from it.. If you don't mind how much did it cost to sponcer the hole at the charity event? And good luck on the referrals!!!!!

Thanks granitestate!
The hole sponsorship was $25,000. I went in on it with three other guys. One ownes a custom auto upholstery and carbon fiber business, another is the general manager of a custom wheel shop, and the last has a body and mechanical shop that specializes in classic restorations. I wouldn't have been able to afford it by myself. Wasn't easy to convince the wife to spend the money but I think it will turn out to be worth wild.

I hope that it all pans out for you and your investment will be returned 10 fold. Good luck and keep us posted on if any new business or referrals come from it..

Thats what I like to see. Sometimes the biggest risk is not taking one. Big congrats to you for this venture. Oh, that SL55 is sick. A star actually put awesome wheels on a car (I think they're Hartge?)instead of just some big chrome bling garbage.

Good luck bud!

There not big chrome bling garbage for sure those are HRE's they look great in polished alumnium to. Those AMG calipers look good to.

very zestyyyyyyyyyyyyy. god, you lucky man. can you PM me who this athlete is :)? i have an idea, but im not quite sure. were any of his cars modified in any way? those look really sweet, cant wait to hear more from you :). oh, and if you ever run into this guy named ashley leili, hes a reciever for the denver broncos, really young guy, i ENVY you. ashley leili is the pride of hawaii, he was the only player in the history of Hawaii football to go in the first round of the draft!!!!!!
