Need some help on scratches

Just bought me and island car and the previous owners wife saw something on the door and proceeded to use a kitchen scratch pad to remove it. It's not real important that I get it off but this thing has enough blemishes I can try out different things on. Will get rid of it when I leave Hawaii.

Here are some pics...

I thought about color sanding the scratches....what process would I use?

For the swirls..I have already used DACP.. Thought about going to #84 meguiars...
 
OH boy the first picture looks horrible. What did you do to it? Looks like sand paper scratches.
Well if the vehicle has never been buffed before, you can try to wet sanded with 1000 grit than with 1500 grit paper.
Than take a yellow buffing pad and some DCC 2.0 or DACP with the rotary and buff it untill almost dry.
Than follow with #80 with green pad.
And finish with #9 on blue edge.
Seal it with UPP,
top it with any paste carnuba wax.

I am afraid to say it but those scratches from the scrubbing pad are not coming out easily. It will take at least Meguiar's #84 Compound Power Cleaner, W-7006 Cutting Pad on a Rotary spinning 1800 RPM. You may be able to soften the marks with the PC but otherwise, the PC will not touch those marks. :(

Results

Used DACP...wasn't happy...used 1000 grit then 1500 grit wet sanding...(never done it before so afraid of how much to take off)
DACP wouldn't get rid of marring so I got meguiars heavy cut cleaner....worked that then went back to DACP....not bad results...I can still see some scrathes from before...might try some 2000 or 3000...This is a car that I don't care much about...good to use it as a test bed.

That looks pretty good to me. I just did a similar job - same way, except 1500 followed by 2000. I followed that with SSR3 and then DACP. Not sure if I should have gone with SSR1 after the DACP, but it still looks pretty good.
 
runnerbl...Nice work

I would recommend using a rotary next. That will really speed up correcting paint blemishes. :D I am a believer.
