Anyone want a DC badge?

I had totally forgotten about this site.

I had checked into it for another purpose a few years ago and never really followed up with it. Now a car club I belong to is thinking about doing a group buy on a few letters and it got me thinking about it again.

Getting the letters 'DC' would be cheap. Its going to cost me a little less than $18 shipped for 4 letters. DC should be way less. I think its like $3.50 per letter and then it was 4 bucks for shipping on the 4 letter one. I'm sure we could get something like that for less than $10 shipped if we wanted to arrange a group buy. Anyone interested?

I emailed them and they said they love doing stuff like group buys for clubs and stuff like that. If there is an interest then I'm sure we can get a good deal on two letters.

Hey Jngrbrdman man, great find!

Looks like I can get 30% off if I can get 20 orders on the 'DC' badge. What I would do is have you guys order them and pay me and then I'll have the badges all shipped to me and then I'd redirect them to you. That will surely save shipping charges. What do you think? Its still going to cost less than ten bucks for one. You could put it anywhere you wanted to. If there are 20 people on DC who are interested then we can get them.

How about we just start a rolling list that you cut and paste and add your name to it when you post? That way we'll know when we hit 20.

Those are pretty cool but I wonder how long they will stay on teh car. Looking at the application they come with the sticking stuff on the back side makes me think they might fall off in time

These guys have been around for a few years. I'm sure if there were problems with the badges sticking then they would have had plenty of time to rectify it by now. They are designed for use on vehicles and I have personally seen examples of their work. The badge will be as stuck on there as any other badge you have on there. If cheap dealership badges will stay on your car for years then I'm sure a high quality product like this will last just as long.

Jngrbrdman: This is a great idea bro, im definately interested. However, perhaps a nicely designed detailcity.com sticker would look cleaner, and may appeal to more people? Im not sure how the badging would be attached to the exterior of ym car (im guessing a strong adhesive), but let us know is maybe a sticker can be done too.

How does everyone else feel about a detailcity sticker (done is a classy, tasteful manner) on your rides? Would look real nice IMO.

I would rather have an OEM looking emblem than a sticker. A sticker could be made, but I wouldn't put it on my car. These badges have tape on the back that is the same grade as the tape on the back of your factory emblems. Once you stick it on then it is stuck there. Having it fall off isn't going to be an option. Like I said, I have seen these letters in person and they look totally factory and they are not taped on there with double sided magic tape or something. Its 3M grade emblem tape that isn't coming off. People will be asking what the advantages are to a DC trim level automobile. lol You can just tell them that its cleaner than an EX and smoother with the ladies than the Type R. :naughty (I had to steal that one from The Fuzz. Don't kill me, sir. :D)
