GPS Navigation- Q's for buying

Hi everyone, I'm a lurker with an off-topic question:

I'm going to be accepting a job this week that will have me doing tons of driving all around the midwest for a least a year and a half (doing training) before I settle down into a smaller area. Having worked in a new-to-me area for a few months a couple of summers ago, I know how much of a pain in the rear it can be to get lost or constantly be referencing your mapquest maps to real maps, and having them both be wrong when your actually on the road. Here is my wish list:

*Less than $500 out the door
*Route calculation
*Able to interface with PDA
-I'd like to pull an address from my PDA directory and have it calculate a route to that point on the fly while I'm on the road. I don't know that much about this kind of stuff, but I imagine it can be handy.
*Portable vehicle to vehicle (and to take out of the truck when parked outside)

I hope to order tomorrow, so if you have any input, lets hear it!

How about the Garmin iQue? It's a portable Palm OS device that can pull an address from your database and calculate the route on the fly. You'll need to budget for the mobile kit (mount, charger, and external speaker) and probably an external antenna if you'll primarily be using it in the car.
