What products do you regret buying?

One product that got a lot of hype was Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Gel, and to this day it's the worst wheel cleaner I've ever used. I really don't have time to let it dwell for 18 hours before it will clean anything. You'll get better results from soap and water.

Now this is VERY TRUE. Horrible wheel cleaner. i still have a gallon of it from 1 1/2 year ago.

Never had a problem with ARO, been using it for many years, I find it a great product to clean my wells and tires and works great on my gutters too!

Simple Green - Simply a waste of time and money
Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo - Probably can use it in the shower
Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel - Not even close to a gel, more like runny diarrhea
Amazing Roll Off - Way too expensive, Purple Cleaner works just as good
Pinnacle Microfiber Detailing Mitt
Meguiar's Body Solvent - I just can't understand that this is supposed to do
Griots Best Show Wax

Mcguires Hyper Dressing... They say you can dilute it as much as 4:1, I've got it dilluted to 2:1 and it's still not giving me the wet glossy look on the tires that I've been looking for. I'm going to try 1:1 and if that doesn't do it then this stuff is history

I concur with a few aforementioned, Megs Body Solvent, CG Diablo, and some others. I bought DP Wheel Glaze and agree with others who dis wheel waxes. I will add WG Instant Detail Spray .,, insanely expensive and mediocre. Megs Syn Spray Wax streaked like hell on me and the worst ever Mothers Back to Black the best dust magnet ever!

I reluctantly took the advise from the former Car Brite rep (who didn't last long for obvious reasons) and purchased a gallon of their Fallout Gel. I was told that it made an outstanding clay lube, which made sense until I mixed it up and tried it. I done 1 fender with it and returned it. I love Car Brite stuff but Fallout Gel sucks.

I'm just glad to hear that Amazing Roll Off isn't all it's cracked up to be. Here in Calif, you can't buy it because of it's VOC content and I thought I was missing out on the world's greatest cleaner!

I've got a gallon of Purple Power APC. It's ok, but not wonderful. I don't like the fact that it's toxic to paint and to me. I'm thinking maybe Optimum Power Cleaner in the future?

Might as well start off my first post on this forum with something interesting...

Collinite 845 - Well, it's cheap and that's about it. The looks were just okay and I haven't been able to replicate the mythical months of protection.

Body Solvent - Smells interesting and makes the wash mitt really oily.

M95 Speed Cut- Oh how I wish this brother of M105 acted more like M105. The cut is right up there, but it just doesn't finish or handle like M105. It does serve a purpose, though.

V___a Concours Red - Censored because the owner stalks me. For as much as this stuff costs, it should perform much better. It does smell good, though.

Ultrafina - It's no wonder why it never leaves any swirls behind! Enough said...

M01 Medium Cut Cleaner - Outdated diminishing abrasive. This stuff leaves a horrible finish, yet doesn't remove many defects.

Gilmour foam gun - Whoever brought this into the detailing world is a marketing genius. It forces users to buy gallons of soap and makes for some really interesting pics, but really does nothing to benefit the wash regiment.

Megs hyper Spray....no matter how you dilute it it still is a mess to work with, runs like melted butter, gloss is more slimy looking than I like...but on positive note...i do like the smell.....but for the same $$ I will continue to use my beloved Opti-Bond.....still the best.

Gilmour Foam Gun - Does not foam as well as my previous gun, which was one of those bottles you attach to your hose to spread fertilizer. Also, at high pressure to get foam, does not allow you to sheet water off when rinsing.

Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish - No difference between it and bare clear coat. My all-time worst buy, at least the other products that I wouldn't buy again did something.

Any Glaze - Just does not improve things for me given the effort.

Re: PoorBoy's Trim Restorer - It is like mineral oil, but I find it works slightly better and lasts longer than 303, it could be the composition of the trim?

I was going though my brushes and I found one I had forgotten about.

Lug nut brush I bought from Griots. They have two versions (attach to drill or hand held). The bristles are pretty stiff nylon which worries me. Also after just a couple of uses it gets all misshaped. Even putting a rubber band around it to try to Resnais it back to new doesn't work. I'll stick to the boars hair lug nut brush I bought to replace it
