Yup. Anthony Orosco uses LightCut for a moderate polish (I think) TOL stuff seems to work pretty good.

I need to clay the pain, but that's it. Other than that it looks good, no swirls or scratches. The truck is 2 years old but even with the paint in good condition, I think I might be able to bring out some more shine out of it. I heard of Astro Shield polish, is it any good?
 
Never heard of it. If you don't see any imperfections no need to start investigating for polishes. Just get clay, use tons of lube. Also perfect your cleaning/drying technique to avoid swirls. You should be fine
 
With a PC, Light-Cut does just fine on a new finish. I've used it with good success on my 9 month old Acura to remove light scratches.
 
billy0001... PC is short for Porter Cable, a popular orbital buffer used by many Autopians. Different than a rotary buffer, it's safe and easy to use. They go for about $125. Since getting mine I wouldn't think of removing scratches by hand. I aslo apply glazes with it such as Vanilla Moose and waxes such as Megs #26.

It's a great tool and fun to use.
 
billy0001, if you take a look at the top of the line website, there's a pic of a Ferrari that Anthony did with light cut. After seeing that, I felt comfortable ordering some to use on my own car.

If you are still worried about the abrasiveness of light cut, you may want to check out the midnight express product. I spoke with a local distributor and he told me that the midnight express is made for black cars because it uses a less harsh abrasive.
 
I use the Light Cut. It's good stuff. You can use just fine on your new finish. Maybe just use a finishing pad. Although, with no scratches or swirls this would be good excuse to get some PB's Pro Polish. It'll give you a nice smooth surface to build your shine. Then later on when you get a few swirls, you can get the more aggressive products. That's the way I justify my purchase with the wife. LOL! I've done that quite a bit...it's a sickness without a cure....

You nailed it. I'm ordered PP and EX-P for the truck and I will follow that with Natty's. I thinks it'll come out well.

Never tried Pizzaz, I was told by the owner of TOL that If I'm already using TS, It doesn't make sense to even bother with Pizzaz. Heard it smells GRAPEY though...! (and i'm big on wax scents too)
