Dash Detailing

Started a detail on a black Mercedes last week Thursday. I have finished the interior and while I have the interior BEFORE pictures I did not have time to take the AFTER shots except for the few pics I took of the console.

I will post the interior/exterior BEFORE & AFTER pics Tuesday or Wednesday.

Here is a BEFORE pic of the cup holder. Kinda nasty down there and I couldn't get way down in there to clean it well so I removed the cup holder assembly.
 
The assembly is held in by two small screws. remove them and the whole things comes right out. Here is the cup holder on my tail gate.

I sprayed it down with Deep Down and then hosed it off
 
Dried the cup holder off and then cleaned al around the area where the cup holder sits down in.

Here is the cup holder cleaned and re-assembled
 
The wood area was first cleaned and vacuumed with various brushes and foam Q-tips.

I then used Menzerna FP to clean and polish the clear coat on the wood grain. Next came an application of AIO.

There is a purplish colored stain on the stick shift that didn't come out. Didn't want anyone to think I missed a spot:-p

Thanks Anthony... I have been using Pledge or simple cleaner wax on wood surfaces. I will try Final Polish tomorrow on (2) older MB Diesels I have lined up tomorrow.

BTW... As always I am floored by your attention to detail !!!!

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery !!! I tried FP on the wood of this E 300 Deisel today.

Thanks for sharing your technique. The Menzerna FP removed about 75% of the scratches on the clearcoated wood.

Nice how do you go about doing that put some FP on a mf and buff till its gone or. ???
 
Wow, polishing wood...new concept to me.
im going to have the shiniest trees in the neighborhood by the end of the week:lmfao:

Would SSR1 or WGPE followed with AIO be a good combo for wood?
 
Just went outside and tried it on my instrument cluster and my radio bezel needless to say it came out absolutly perfect after Menzerna FP there crystal clear just like my paint.
