S&W Special Technique?

Long time since I have started a thread but here is my problem:
Weather is warm but POLLEN CITY (I've never seen so much grab my car everyday even if I use my CCD). I offered to clean a black Honda Accord for my friend since she wanted it clean and was willing to send it through a carwash ( dangerous they are, unless its touchless of course)

I trusted the use of my microfibers + S&W. My technique was to first wet the entire panel with spritzes of water to loosen the hardened dirt layer then spray loosely with alot of S&W since it looked very dirty. The entire came out like it didn't have any marring due to my removal with just S&W and MF.

MY big question: When I was cleaning the entire car it obviously had swirls, but if just felt very rough and grainy. Was I pushing too hard? Or was it the actual MF? Not enough liquid?

Does anyone know of any techniques to clean a pretty dirty car with some water / MF / and S&W? - Sorta like a QEW technique but with S&W?

I hate to take the hose out and WW.

:wait yes I did this porsche that way. The owner left the passcode to his garage when he went on vacation, but forgot to leave his keys. I couldnt move the car and I couldnt pull out the hose and water (tile floor). I took about 2.5 gal water and approx 2-3 oz S&W (could have been more than necessary but :dunno ). I used a Mf (did not wring out) to soak each panel and wiped dry with a second Mf. Actually worked well for everything, glass, paint, trim. This is a before pic

Did you spray S&W on the wet MF and then wipe? Seemed to do very well for me with just a spray bottle. How did it feel when you went over the paint?

no I mixed the S&W and water then just dipped the MF. this was last december when I was just getting familiar with S&W. Now though I think that I could have gotten away with just spraying the s&w.

Why dilute the S&W? I Spray and then I Wipe and the truck gets clean. I think that's how it was intended to be used when it was developed. Using water just dilutes the ability of the product to do it's job.

The pollen and the dirt was pretty heavily caked on. It felt really weird to go over with just S&W since I heard andfelt all the particles just absorb into my MF.

After getting all of the dirt away I saw streaks and rebuffed. The streaks disappeared. Thats why I am questioning if I got all the dirt off and maybe I should use some water.

S&W is great I'm just making sure to not stratch the cars.

I use the S&W only. and then wipe off.
Water by itself does not lubricate (I have micro marred paint trying water only).
When the water sprayed on first the lubricity of the S&W is diminished.
I have only used S&W for a short time but have done 7 or 8 cleanings on three different vehicles and have not had any marring or scratching at all.
I do need to wash my MFs more often though (HAHAHA)

I agree, like I said that was when I was just starting to use it. Now all I do is spray and wipe and it works great
