Jim I know you would lend him yours...we are not talking about a $5k piece of equipment...$109 @ any Home Depot...I would be mad if it was broken and not replaced but very fufilled if it was returned in the same condition and knowing people were helped...:dunno

better practice some good line before the pearly gates appearance...and with my luck lately i better practice hard:lmfao :rolling

I'm going to say one thing here, if you didn't intend to help, then any long winded explanation about why you won't or the way you where taught, was unnecessary.

I read this post right after it was put up. If I had been in his area, I would have helped. As Steve said I had product in my hands before I sent him the cash.

:yeah
I wasn't going to post because I am too far away to help.
If I was in the Buffalo area, I would have offered my PC and also offered to be there to help out. It sounds like a fun and informative thing.
You might try a tool rental place to see if they have the PC or something similar that could be used.
Good Luck!
Let us know how it works out!

I think the guiy is pissed of and will not be comgin back as he stated! I can't blame him for it either!

Alright guys... this thread is a bit disappointing to see on DC. I know there is a lot of mistrust in the world, but let's at least give people a chance. If you don't trust them for a reason because of past bad experience, then say so. If its just a general mistrust for humanity then please don't rip a newbie a new one because of it. How are we going to grow if we are going to tear up newbies who some of us may know from other boards and are good guys? Every new member is new to Detail City (...well, most of them. Some are just trolls who need to have their memory refreshed :naughty). Let's cut them a break, eh?

All the good threads seem to pop up when I'm at the beach on the weekends.

Don't let The Fuzz fool you! I'm the one with the active social life and smooth with the ladies. :naughty
The mullet is so 1985 but the goatee is a timeless classic that not only demands respect, but earns it.

Anyway, I'm really happy that this story ultimately had a happy ending. If I had been around I would have said something sooner.

I guess my best advice would be to fully read posts and take them in the proper context..

This was simply someone trying to see if their was a local member with a good heart and a willingness to help.
It never hurts to ask.

Dwayne

Respect the goatee, eh? Well, as long as the face behind the goatee is saying "Put the wallet away, Fuzz. I've got the tab this time." then I'll respect it. :lmfao :hungry

Hey! You know me!

Besides, isn't you that always "conveniently" forgets their wallet at home so I get to pick up the tab? :beer
