SSR vs. PP What's the difference?

What is the difference between Poorboy's Pro Polish and the SSR Products. I have used SSR 3 and SSR 2 to remove scratches and and then SSR 1 to final polish to an amazing shine. So, my question is, "Where does PP fit into the mix and why?

Kim I think Boss had one of the best explanations in one of his posts...PP will clean the finish and let you see any imperfections that might be there so you can go back and repair them with the SSR's ....not an exact quote but hey I'm on a lot of medicine:D

Welcome back Steve,
Please make sure you get enough rest and take it easy.
Question,
I see people using the PP as a final polish and some use SSR1 as a final polish.
I got super results with SSR1 ... would they be better with PP or would it look about the same?

It was Natty who figured out that using SSR1 after PP brought out more of a glow from the finish, especially on bright colors like his former red truck, if you want extreme clarity from the finish use PP last:D

no it's not abrasive...you can barely feel the grit in the product with your finger tips...:)

Am I wrong or does it seem PP never really found its niche?

Seems PP never gained the popularity of other PBs products, especially PwC.

You're wrong.

I use PP and not PwC and I think many others do to. PwC is not adviseable if you're going to top with a sealant and I always do. First with Ex, now with EX-P.

PP is for those who want a clear finish while those who want a darker finish will opt for a carnuba product.

I love PP on paint............. as a paint cleaner, or as a "pure" prep for a sealant.

I love PP on chrome.

I love PP on windows.

I love PP on plastic lenses.

It found it's niche in my cabinet! Wouldn't be without it! Of course, I also like PWC.......... for different reasons.

I like my instructions best :)

clean the finish - pp
fix the finish - ssr
oooooooooh the finish - PwC ;)

So, instead of using pp to clean the finish, could I use one of the ssr's to clean and fix?

that would depend on what you are trying to accomplish and how anal you are about your finish:dunno
