Trade Secret on top of Liquid Souveran

Detailed this 540 this morning. Color os a black metallic and it had a few swirls/scratches in the clear, nothing too major.

Here is a BEFORE shot

:wait I almost forgot to explain that I also topped the finish first with Liquid Souveran. This gave the paint a very nice look so I then decided to top that with Trade Secret. The results were a finish that sparkled, because of the metallic, but also had a very fluid, liquid look in the shade.

Here are a few more pics.

Thanks,
Anthony

Whoa! :wait Thats like liquid paint. How does it shine? Does the metal flakes appeal very well?

Nice like always anthony really good work. You are starting to get me hooked on light cut seems you use it frequently with great results.

The flake is subdued, meaning that they are not overkill, like major "BLING BLING" but that they have just the right amount of sparkle..........very eye appealing :cool

Thanks for the compliments!

Thank You Frozen:)

Light Cut is pretty good stuff........sets up a finish real nice for AIO and if I am in a hurry I can use LC, on glass even, then just lay down something like Vanilla Moose and be on my way!

Take care,
Anthony

Anthony . . . Do you think using Trade Secret alone as a topper would have given you those results?

Hey Dr.

TS would have given me a nice wet look but the LS brings out more of the flake.........buut that may just be me:-p

I am sure only those really anal would be able to notice the difference:lmfao

Take care,
Anthony

Anthony, do you generally use a PC or rotary for the work you post here?

Hey rtbrick,

Good question. It depends of 2 factors. 1) Condition of the paint and 2) How much time I have.

The worse the paint and the more time I have I will use my rotary for the cleaning/polishing stage then once again for the polishing/glazing step. I will almost always finish with either the PC or the Cyclo.

Great things can be done with the PC but again if I have the time I will do the first steps with my rotary.

Later,
Anthony

Anthony = :bigups Always Tremendous and Amazingly Superb work.
Question: What makes you deceide which products to use? Is it simply a whim...."Product du Jour" or is there more of a scientific approach?
For Example, since this was a metallic finish...what made you chose the products you did vs. Wolfgang?

I've always been very impressed with Liquid Souveran. It seems to do some darkening to the paint that brings out some incredible reflections. Even on white cars I've seen a huge difference in reflection after a coat of LS. I've topped it with other paste waxes and still been nothing short of very pleased. Its a great liquid wax.
