It has arrived!!!

Just thought I'd inform you all that "Immaculate" has now become a lethal detailer. Yeah, that's right...my PC and other goodies arrived this weekend, and that makes me a deadly man.

THANKS DETAIL CITY FOR THE ADVICE. I'm hoping the weather will be good and I can use it today. :google

The weather looks pretty darn good out there to me. I was going to do my wife's Accord today if that guy with the know-how to start his stupid mustang doesn't make it over. Its a perfect day to be outside. I'm glad I took the day off. ;)

Congrats on your new supplies! Just let me know whenever you want to come over and put it all together and play. :naughty I love the smell of new products in the afternoon.... lol I'm sure we can find something to practice on.

Thanks Keotee.

Anthony, when you working on it at? I was going to do my car today, but maybe I might just swing by and help you out. Need to get a feel for AIO and SG. Course, I may have plans, need to check with the boys. Might have some chicas over. :) But when were you planning on doing the car at?

I'm not sure. Its going to be an unscheduled detail I think. We can figure out your stuff another time if you want. I get home at about 3:30 every day this week and I'm sure I'll be out working on something. You can come over anytime. Give me a call sometime this week and we can set it up. :bigups

Thanks anthony. Will do. I think I might play a bit on the roof. Do one half with AIO and my PC, and the other half with what I use to use, and take a look at the difference. :)

I'll give you a call sometime. Thanks again.

Make sure you use the AIO with a damp pad. Just hose it off and then shake it dry. Put it on the PC and spin it at 3 for a couple seconds to get the rest of the water out. Some people say it doesn't matter, but I suggest not getting the back of the pad wet. That has always been the end of my pads when that gets wet. Just get the front wet and spin the water out. That helps with AIO. :headbang

Thanks anthony, will do. I figure I'll use the same process I saw you use in cleaning of your pad.

So do I use the red or yellow pad? You're a fan of the red one right?

Yup. Actually, I kind of am. I figure it helps to have a little extra kick when using any cleaner product. It helps scrub the oxidation and swirls.

AIO and damp pad

When using AIO, I keep a spray bottle of water handy and give the pad a shot or two before doing each panel. Works for me.

This is actually what I ended up doing. I had a small water bottle that I'd spray the pad with before each section, in addition to using anthony's method ( good wash and spin dry now and then.) I'm slowly starting to catch on.

I did find some difficulty in using the AIO though. I think I put it on to thick. It seemed difficult to get the product off occasionally. Oh well, I'm a ROOKIE. :lmfao

Did better with the SG though, got it on nice and thin, turned out nice. Just need to remove some swirls now. I like playing with my vehicles.

Thanks for all the advice :dcrules

Could have been too thick, could be you let it dry too long. Just apply it to a panel and wipe it off. It should do just that, wipe off. No real effort required. Applying AIO to the entire vehicle before removing it would very likely result in removal difficulty.

Charles,
Yep, that was the problem. Put on wipe off...well I didn't. I let it dry to long. I was applying it with my PC and probably tried to tackle more than I should have, leaving to much time to dry. I also tried to work the AIO into the paint a bit.

So, charles, would you just use a PC on a small section, 3 speed, get it on and then wipe it right off then?

Most likely I would use 4.5, (only because that seems to be what I use for everything), do a section such as 1/2 the roof, a door panel, deck lid, about a 2' X 2' section, then wipe it off after each section.
AIO is so easy to apply and remove that I quite often don't bother to get the PC out. Works good by hand or PC.
