My review of UPP after the winter attack.

The Whaler Loves Detail City
Many of you know that I gave my cars a heavy dose(33 coats combined) of UPP this winter. Today I washed my car for the 3rd time since mid December. I used Platinum's Ultimate Auto Wash Shampoo. The car is still very slick. Most of the dirt comes off with the nozzle on the jet setting. When I was drying off the car and leaned on it with the micro I started to slide off. With just a wash my neighbor complimented me on how shiney my car is. Next fall I want to synthesize my car again. I was thinking of trying something else but I'm too impressed with UPP to use anything else. My thinking is since everything is sliding off there's UPP still on the car. SO as of now my Winterization Project will always include massive doses of UPP.

Rick,

HOLY COW.............. 33 coats! Dwayne is one of your biggest fans! :D

Glad it worked for ya! :bigups

EDIT: Now I know why Dwayne lets you use that avatar! :lmfao

Leave The Whaler alone Bossman.:D You would change your mind about this stud if you could see a full frontal of this manly man.

Rick,

Needless to say........... your posts STICK out! :rolling

Rick,

Seriously, if you get some EX-P, it might me interesting to see how "a whole bunch of coats" of EX-P on some panels, and UPP on other panels hold up against each other next winter?

Hmmmm. That's a thought. 66 total coats of sealant. My finish will be so thick I'll need a red flag and a wide load sign to put on my car.

NO! NO! 33 coats of UPP on one side............ 33 of EX-P on the other! :lmfao

Remind me late September. I still have about 1/3 of a bottle of UPP. That too impresses me.

rabbi,
I had similar results on my wifes car with three coats.
It was a brand new vehicle and so I applied UPP and she went to visit family for a month.
I told her not to let anyone wash the car cause I didn't want it all scratched etc.
After 3200 miles and a month at the Atlantic Coast and the trip home in the salt and crap ... I washed it and the crud just washed away like it was dust.
I think these two examples alone are a great testimony to two great products ...
UPP and 4* Ultimate Car Wash Shampoo.

LOL...33 coats of UPP. Me thinks we have a new record! Rick...I'm with you in that I'm a huge UPP fan. I still haven't used anything that leaves a finish as slick as UPP. I can't wait to try EX-P!

3 coats or 33 coats should be the same. As you apply one coat, it'll replace most of the previous coats. There only an amount of product the surface will accept, the rest is removed/replaced.

rabbi knows what I mean when I say:

"Spread it thin" and "A little goes a looooooooong way".

That's the way to do it!

Indeed I do Mr. Dwayne. Took me a couple of applications but I have it down to a science now. Very impressive product. Btw mine does not smell like bubblegum. It smells like a solvent Sniff! sniff! mmmm I love the smell of solvents in the morning.
