Kinda off topic but....

I thought to be fair I would order some Z2 to give it a shot so I can give an honest evaluation. 12.95 is not bad (but I can't figure out how much product you get) - but they charge 8.95 for shipping????

that makes the bottle 21 bucks! - I would rather spend the $$ on the einzert (sp?)_

That is out of line I wouold have canceled the order and told them why, to see if they would do something else to help you.

I've used the Zaino line and was noe overly impressed with it, but for some they swear by it!

Shipping charges ...

Using shipping and handling charges for added profits has become quite an artform. Especially on eBay !!! Always check the shipping charges !!!

:wait Trying Zaino?!?!?! Don't you love UPP? J/K Shipping is ridiculous sometimes. Look at Ebay and you will be astonished at the shipping expenses they offer.

FWIW, you might be able to find a local Zaino distributor in your area. We even have one in Des Moines, Iowa.:-p

Zaino has always had shipping at $8.95 (at least for the past few years). It is a flat rate, so that $100 order has $8.95 shipping. however, when you only want one bottle, it gets a little crazy. Shipping isn't exactly cheap for some businesses either.

Besides, to give a fair evaluation, you would also need a bottle of Z-1 or some Zfx. Without either one the Z-2 wouldn't bond to the paint.

Really> I thought Z2 was all you needed and the ZFX was to acclerate drying times but you can use it without it? At least that's what I read (there was all this harping about how difficult it was to use in some threads on other boards then someone posted - it's not like that anymore - that you can just use Z2 ?)

Zaino was the first ever detail product that I purchased and I really cant believe what the fuss is all about. Even with the zfx, it did not seem to be very user friendly (Z2). They advertise the Z5 as being a swirl remover and it absolutely didnt do a thing. I did however, like their QD and tire dressing. The durablity was good but the shine was pretty average to me even after mutliple coats. I have since switched to Poorboys and have been very satisfied. Just my .02.

The Z5 I believed is more of a filler and not swirl remover and I didn't find their QD very useful , maybe it's just me, now I get the idea that QD is just a rip off, is that the same with other brands? :doh . However I do like their tire dressing which is quite durable but it's not the glossy type mind you.

ps: I spent USD$16.76 for Z2 but couldn't remember bout the shipping charges, but I remember it was reasonable as I spend more than 100 bucks in total.

I've used the Zaino line up and feel its a rip off. Its more confusing than anything. You have to buy the Z4 to layer on the Z6 then put the special drying ajent on so that your application of ZFX12 will be ready for the final coat of Z9:lmfao

With Poorboys I just use the P-w-C and finish up with EX and if I'm feeling wild top with carnuba...Done deal!

Exactly. If I have a full day with nothing better to do then watch wax dry, I might use Zaino. That shipping is rediculous and almost makes you spend $100+ to get the shipping down to a justifiable amount.

This is an all to commo and an all too unfortunate growing trend. Places like ebay (and even established online retailers like Zaino Bros.) have made it common practice to make a large portion f their profits on the 'back end' side of business, or commonly known as shipping.

Now, some sites claim that their set shipping fee's (for example Zaino's $8.95) is justified b/c the number is static regardless of order size or weight. I however think that this is a crock of bull sh....well, its just taking advantage of small order purchasers.

I assume that the majority of online orders for detailing products are well under $100 (on avg.) for a sinlge order placed....so charging an exuberant price for shipping and trying to justify why its so high is dumbfounding and bewildering to me. In Zaino's case, i am sure that they either lost ALOT, or frustrated many of their potential customers just because of this fact.

Inquire about the total shipping weight of your purchase, and use a shipping calculator (vis ups.com, or usps.com) to find out roughly how much you should expect to LEGITIMATELY pay for shipping.

If the sticker price for a certain product seems unrealistically low, and you are about to buy it....check the shipping numbers!

Be smart, be aware....and happy shopping!
