Has anyone used this adapter for rotary buffing? How satisfying were the results? Should I buy for my makita? Thanks. BOBBY D:band

Bobby, if you have the 9227, it sure does look amazing. I'm tempted to buy the 9227 just so I can change to the Edge 2000 system.....just too easy not to.

Talk to Aaron from Dedication to Detail (Edge pads)....he is great at answering any questions you might have.

I use these pads in my shop. They are very good pads and the quick connect is so much easier. Centered every time and easy to take off and put on. Not to mention that the pads are 2 sided so you don't have to keep changing pads

I was always thinking about the metal connection stick out 1/4 inch on the other side of the plate: I know it says it protected, but what if i use the Edge 2000 White pad while finishing front fender.
White pad is very soft- can it reach the painted surface then?
Thanks Dimedrol.

The Adapter is shouldered! I cannot go out the other side of the disc at ALL!! Not even 1/4 inch, it does not come out the other side of the plate PERIOD! Beleive me we have sold 10's of thousands of these pads without ONE PERSON HITTING THE METAL ADAPTER AGAINST THE CAR. It is not possible. If you need further explaination watch the video on our website www.edgepads.com about The Edge2000 double-sided buffing pads, or call me at 1-800-315-3343 for more explaination.

I personally use these pads and the connector does not even come close to sticking out of the other side. These pads are the best we have used in my shop. I even just ordered some for my PC.

I have been using the Edge2000 Pads for about 3 weeks now and have definately noticed a difference compared to other pads. I have posted in the Product discussion benifits of them over others.

I especially like the many different grades of abrasives. It give you a lot more flexability especially when working on single stage and soft european clear coats.

Give them a try, you wont be dissappointed.

Tony.

Welp.....I'm thinkin I gotta try this new quick connect system w/dbl sided pads.

I'm also REAL tempted to get one of the new Makita polishers that switches back and forth between random and rotary. Any experiences to share?

I've been using the edge pads for a few months now and I love them too!

JimS...I went to look at the two mode Makita this weekend, and I still don't think it will replace a true rotary. From what I understand, even on the highest speed "5"...I doesn't reach an equivalant of 1000 rpms. Plus, i don't like the fact that backing plates can't be changed.

I live in England and sell Car Valeting Products, I also sell the Edge Classic Pads which people love.
Aaron Krause MD of Dedication To Detail has sent me some of the Edge2000 Pads for sampling to my
customers, I think these could revolutionize the valeting industry and my customers seem very interested. Is there anyone else on the forum that have used these pads and could give me some feedback

Again great customer service

Regards

John

If I understand this thread correctly I can't use the Edge 2000 pads with my PC 7424?
Do I have to purchase a different backing plate to use the Edge 2000 pads?
I would like to switch to the new pads, so what do I need? Besides the pads?

I use the Edge pads w/quick connect and they are very good. I spoke with Aaron about the two-sided wool pads and asked where I could purchase them. He found that none of the distributors were carrying the two-sided wool pads so he talked with Dwayne and Dwayne place an additional add on his site so we can order the two-sided wool pads. They are great to use with a rotary when removing swirl marks and then using the other side to polish the same area. I found the wool listed for polishing are just as easy to use as foam pads.
