It bothers me that the only elected Republicans that are calling Trump on his BS are the ones NOT running for re-election. Both the Republican and Democratic Parties are broken. It’s a shame most third party candidates are so flaky and unelectable.

Newsflash: It didn`t work. I think this is what is referred to as being a "sore winner".

We had a home invasion a few years ago here in NJ, where a man beat a woman and threw her down the basement stairs, in front of her 3 or 4 year old daughter. The incident was captured on a nanny-cam, and the suspect was quickly apprehended. The nanny-cam also captured a detective arriving afterwards, and when speaking to a patrolman, using a racial epithet. The defense attorney tried to have the whole case thrown out, claiming the detective in charge was biased against the defendant. The clear evidence in the case removed any doubt that any bias impacted the case.

It would be foolish to think that LEO`s as a group don`t have opinions and biases. The real question is whether they allow those opinions and biases to affect their judgement or actions. Similarly, in this case if facts and evidence show crimes were committed, it will be irrelevant whether some investigators had opinions or biases. Right?

Because if the difference between criminality or not is now going to be judged by what opinions two LEO`s express to each other in private conversations, you can forget about anyone getting charged with crimes anywhere anymore, so be careful what you wish for.
 
I don`t know who that is. Either way, what you`re suggesting is, and I guess it`s true, is that we are already living in a police state, where "facts" are not objective things, they are what people make up, whether it`s law enforcement or suspects. God help us all.
 
I cannot even fathom the full scale meltdown if this report came out with the FBI targeting Obama or Clinton

You are right, this type of behavior is unacceptable regardless of who it`s targeted towards.

Buy your Griots polishers now while they are cheap! Trump just imposed a 25% tariff on imported Chinese goods. The article I read did not get into specifics of what Chinese goods would receive the tariff. I wonder why he chose 25% and not 100%? I guess the new iPhone will be $1250 instead of $1000. No upgrade for me this year. This should drive down the stock prices of companies that depend on China for imports.

I’m for a free market system, but China has been stealing technology for decades and nothing has been done about it. China keeps promising to do something about piracy and theft of intellectual property but in actuality they do nothing. I find nothing objectionable about a tariff to get China’s attention. I do have a problem with insulting our allies like Canada over dairy and claiming “national security “ issues. There is a difference. I also do not think the president should have the power to put tariffs in place. It’s just too much responsibility for one person. Someone said enjoy your tax break, the upcoming increases on consumer goods will wipe out that tax break quickly.
