That black Cadillac is in Jupiter which is about 20 min south of me. I think there`s a lot of room for high end detailers between Stuart and Miami. Sure there are a lot of regular detailers, but high end detailers are few and far between, especially for the amount of income per garage from here to Miami.
How easy is the XPel headlight film to work with? And will it provide enough UV protection to stop freshly corrected headlights from clouding back over? Or is it better to add a coating first then apply the film?
Reason, I ask is a buddy wants to sand-off the cr@p job a previous owner did (2K Clear) and use XPel headlight film instead.
XPEL Headlight Film is super easy to work with. This is the 3rd car or truck I`ve installed them on so far and they`re great. I don`t think it provides much UV protection, it`s more for rocks and chip prevention. The owner told me other XLR owners are having trouble finding replacement headlights since they stopped producing them, so OEM headlights are going for over $1000. So he wants to protect them as much as he can. You can Opti-Lens, Xpel film, and opti-lens again for ultimate protection, but I wouldn`t use this to replace a coating. The kits are cheap too around $50.
Washing does.
I finally had a water softener installed so looking forward to more suds and more efficient cleaning. I also ended up with a UV lamp to treat the water.
A softener helps with the suds but I`ve noticed water spots can sneak up on you a little more easily. Did something change with your well water to prompt the UV lamp?
I moved this summer and when they tested the well it had bacteria. After several tries at shocking the well it we could not get a clean report so decided to go with a UV to kill the bacteria. We just had it done again (test results not back) but since you should test everyone once in a way anyway decided to just play it safe for now. I learned it was common in the area (it was farm land area anyway). The water source is in granite (well cased/grouted down to granite) so it is not likely ground water readily leaking directly into well. Other than being a little hard (8 grains) and the bacteria, the water is good (clear, no smell, good taste, no iron, manganese, etc, reasonable total dissolved solids) and acceptable GPM.
There are a lot of wells with coliform and do not get sick from it but they no longer test for concentration (counting in petri dish) since the government has zero limit. Hey, we drank it for weeks before getting the report (county tests after a month or so of occupancy).
I can bypass it in a heart beat since the setup is in a utility room in garage.
Having all your towels and pads cleaned, folded and organized is the best feeling.
That it is I just have to get them into an organized storage instead of recycled PBMG boxes I can`t see through
