I don`t know him personally, but he happened to be a troop greeter and Bangor Airport in Maine, after he retired from careers in both the Army in WWII and the Air Force afterwards. He passed away now but he was a hell of a guy. Greeted troops 24/7. Anytime a flight of `em was arriving.

I feel you can look at the photo and let it speak for itself. When I look at it I am reminded of the sacrifices and how those who gave never forgot, and to honor our seniors and those of the greatest generation.

US Army`s 1st Infantry Division soldiers disembarking from a LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel) at Omaha Beach during the Normandy Landings of D-Day.

"For the greater good" comes to mind when I view this photo.

As I stood in the Poorboy`s World aisle of products trying to think of a new giveaway, I saw something on each and every case...just below every Poorboy`s logo read "Proudly Made in the USA". I don`t see that mentioned enough when members talk about one of the most popular brands we carry.

How To Enter:

So my account was finally authorized and I have been thinking about what to post here - love the submissions so far - some great work and I don`t have anything that clever. Really thought about a picture of my family, because America (and Canada) is about having the right to have a family that you choose and the soldiers who fight for us allow me to have time with my family. But, then I didn`t post that so I just decided on a simple screen grab of Autopia. Where, in America, people are free to start a business - to offer a product and/or service to meet the needs and demands of consumers. And we can start that business just simply because we want to. It`s that which makes us unique and what symbolizes America to me. Again, the other posts have been on point and I didn`t want to be duplicative.
