automagic

He uses #33 Auto Magic's Magic dressing.
I asked him about the dressing he uses. I picked a gallon of it up after i talked to him. Pretty impressive stuff.
Good luck

I have yet to find the perfect Water Based High Gloss Dressing I will have to try both of there Dressings out Solvent and Waterbased. Are the Car fragrance's any good have you tried any of them. ?

If I ever find...

a water-based dressing that last longer than a two or three days on tires I'll use it. I am personally not the biggest fan of high-gloss dressings, however I do want the dressing to last as long as possible. For me AM's No. 33 has become my ole reliable because its easy to use and its ability to last. Of course when I dress an engine I use AM's water based dressing and when it comes to fenderwell I use the most cost effective dressing period.
All in all AM's dressing are priced right and perform quite well.

Agent Phonar: Great job on that engine. I really liked the look of
that Q45 bodystyle. Unfortunately the interior of that car was a bit cramped, and that car had such a small trunk for a large car.

AM's No 33 on 02 Yukon...

Thanks Dean
and thanks again for the advice on the #33
that stuff kicks some azz
The guy that owns the Q45 also owns the QX4 that the critters ate up.
I must say after doing those 2 vehicles I'm not real impressed with Infinity. I did however like the Q45 better then the SUV.
For the $$$ I would rather have a nice Benz, Beemer, or Lexus.
Oh well thats just me
:beer

QX4..

Fully loaded pathfinder... I really liked the new Q 45 about a year ago, until I drove the LS 430. To me Infiniti does not seperate itself enough with quality upgrades to seperate themself from their base Nissan model.

well infiniti has beemer and benz WAY WAY BEAT in terms of reliability, the beemers and benz look nice when there not in the shop, lexus is just unbreakable. even though some benz might look better i dont want to be stranded on the side of the road with an unreliable car imo

Hey Larry A,
Just wondering
did u ever use BC-1
I was wondering how that stuff worked.
:shift
Ive never used BC1. I hear that its stronger than BC2. A friend of mine had a detail shop and He would give me some.He would buff out a car using a rotary with a wool pad and he would not get swirls even on dark colors He would follow it with a straight carnuba wax by hand. He would do 90% of his cars that way, and they would come perfect.

frankie...

I had a 97 I30 and my father-in-law a 01 I30. Reliability is second to none, however their cars just don't excite me ( except for G35 coupe!!! :mohawk ). In my opinion the Nissan Maxima and Infiniti I35 are the same car, and I would take the 350Z over the G35, but I am 33 years old, and in another 10 years I'm sure my back will prefer the G35.

Just for the record my 1993 500 SEL is in the shop to replace an AC evaporator.... :( .

Has anyone used the #89 XP Express Wax? My local AM dealer that comes by our shop swares that it's the best, and that everyone raves about it. It's 22 bucks for the gallon size, I'm thinking about trying it out, but just checking to see if ya'll have used it before.

J.D.

Hey JD,
I have used the express wax.
I goes on and off realy easy and you can get it on the rubber moldings and it wont white them out. If your looking for something long lasting I dont think you want the express. I only ever tried a sample bottle but I wasnt impressed except for the fact that you can get it on the moldings and not mess them up. It makes the paint shine and it beads up but it doesnt last as long as a paste carnuba. I would ask the AM guy if you could have a sample to try. The guy I deal with always is willing to give me a sampel to try out. Hope this helps you out.
Good Luck

I bartered out some car ausdio work, and got a gallon for free, 25 minutes to swap out front speakers for a gallon of wax, couldn't pass it up, I figure it will be good for quick jobs to get someone in and out quick that has a good shine already.

J.D.

Hey JD,

That sounds like a good deal. I think you'll be happy with the wax. It does good I'm just saying it doesnt last as long as thier EZ Paste but it will save you alot of time compared to using the EZ Paste. The great thing about the Express wax is you dont have to worry if you accidently hit the molding cause it wont turn em white.
:)

try the express i think you will like it i just got 2 gallons of it over here on my end, i also tried there wet wax in the gallon size

what polish or waxs have you used that you were real impressed with?

I've used the 79 Awesome Gloss sealant.
Great Shine. Durability? I dunno... yet.

Tough to control amount applied. Too much, and it becomes *very* difficult to remove.

I've probably used it on 20 cars.

One came back after 2 days (constant rain) with 'haze' on all panels. Actually looked as if I just done a poor job of removing residue, but there was sooo much, that it must have 'appeared' over time. Some kind of a curing issue?

Second car came back with *ugly* trim stains. That classic white residue... No luck with alcohol, solvents... maybe peanut butter next!

Not happy. Not happy at all. Rep coms by Monday morning AM, I'll try to rmember to followup...

BTW, I use their citrus wheel cleaner, XP compound, Super Dress it, and others with good success.

Jim

Hey Jimmy

Sometimes when i use AMs EZ Paste or Awesome Gloss. I will spray a light mist of their Body Shine to spread the material out. For some reason it seemed to me like the Awesome Gloss needed a little time to set up. When you start to remove the product and it gives you trouble try misting it again with the Body Shine to help aid in removing it. Hope this helps you out.

is xp citrus wheel cleaner safe for chrome and painted rims?
awesome gloss i must say has a nice gloss to it

Hey Frankie,
On AM's site it says the XP Citrus Wheel cleaner is designed for chrome and clearcoated alloy wheels. If you didnt already buy the wheel cleaner I would go with the #48 MAGnificent. That is what I use. Its also a non-acid based wheel cleaner and I must say I was pretty impressed with the performance of it. I dilute it 50/50 with water and that works great for me. You could make it a little stronger if you needed too. The AM guy I go through told me that he likes the MAGnificent better. He told me that the only difference is the XP smells like citrus. Hope this helps.
