Megs NXT 2.0 question

Before i ask, please don't bother recommending another wax. Been there done that and i absolutely love this stuff and won't change. But i do have a question about it. I read in a review where someone said they love the paste but have heard (tho not yet tried) the liquid version is even better. I find that odd, but if true i'd be willing to try it. Anyone have thoughts on that?

Have you tried Zaino yet??? :D Just kidding. According to meguiars, they are the same thing. I haven't noticed any difference but the liquid is easier to use. Actually M21 liquid is probably the best of the bunch.

Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax has a similar look to NXT 2.0, doesn't stain trim and seems to have some significant durability.

I have and like both.

I started with the liquid first and got the paste just for the fun of it.

I never saw any difference- just which application you find easier to work with

I agree with craigdt. I know you dont want to hear about anything else but You would be blown away by meguiars ultimate paste wax it is super super super easy to apply and wipe off and looks awesome but nxt is very good as well.

Do you get any trim staining with either?

I've been using the NXT 2.0 liquid by hand for a couple years on my 2006 G35 diamond graphite color. Makes the metal flakes pop and sparkle from the paint. Really like it. I usually top it with a second coat of hi-tech yellow wax to give more durability.

Has anyone tried to apply NXT with a DA polisher? I just purchased GG so I was thinking of trying it out.

It goes on OK if you use is sparringly, but it can dust a little. M21 is much better for machine application.

Don't know about the NXT, but Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax goes on great with a DA--no dust, doesn't stain trim and seems very durable--I've had it on for 7 weeks and it's just as slick as the day I applied it--very glossy look.

Yeah, it stays slick for soooo long. Easily beats BFWD which up until UW was the king in my book.

Interesting!!! I thought I'd try the BFWD since it gets so much hype at other websites so I have a free sample from AG. Planned to put it on the light/medium green Passat to see how it would look/hold up and figured I can always top it with POXY if I didn't like it. Problem is it's so pricey compared to DG105, POXY and now the Megs UW. If nothing else the UW looks fantastic on silver clearcoated wheels.

Well BFWD does have more of a sealant like gloss. Has a bit of glow.

UW seems to have carnauba depth (and more), its just as wet but it doesn't have the glow.

I'm curious why no one talks about the original NXT (1.0?).

I had a bit of a hiatus a while back but I never did pick up on what changed between versions. I still have over half a bottle of the original liquid NXT.

NXT2.0 lost a bit or a lot of the punch, depending on who you ask. NXT1.0 was definitely the looker but 2.0 has the longer beading everyone wanted.

Thanks @pwaug I'll try the Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax after I finish the NXT 2.0. Does the MULW has mild polish agent and sealant in it as well or it just a wax?

Megs ULW is a pure sealant as mentioned with no abrasives. If you like the look of NXT then you should put down a coat of the ULW first then add the NXT.
