Colored Microfiber towels

I have e different colors, I guess that I'm not sure what your question od because all the ones that I have seen are colored

TMiller,

You can get just about any color under the rainbow, depending on where, and whom you buy them from. I'm sure Pepboys has them. However, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Some of the cheap ones are worthless on paint!

I don't want cheap ones. I want to get them from one of our :bow fine sponsors, how can I specify colors? :wha

I have some from Advance Auto and they are not so good. I use them for dirty work. The ones from Dwayne (premiumauto) and Ranney at pakshak are good ones.:bigups

TMiller,

You can't always specify the color you want. The only problem I have with the MF's that I have from Dwayne is the dark green color. It makes it really difficult to see any dirt on them. However, they are a nice quality towel, and I end up using them for final QDing when I know that the surface is clean, and I don't have to worry about seeing any dirt. Having said that, I would do what the guys have said and give Dwayne a call. He may have other colors.

Keep in mind that it's sometimes a good practice to have several color towels, and relagate certain colors to certain chores (polishing, wax removal, QDing, windows..... etc). That way you don't end up mixing products on them.

That's why I'm looking for different colors. If I have no choice but to buy white...would it hurt the fibers if I just dyed them specific colors?

You could just mark the white ones on one corner with a sharpie for different applications.(?) I even mark applicators with a sharpie for its use since I use them a few times before throwing them out. You know, like W is wax,P is polish,TD or S is tire dressing or silicone.I dunno, just an idea.....

I just did a car today. I used cloth diapers, about 12 of them! About how many rags should you go through on average per detail?

I have 7 MF's 3 Viper Green Extra Cut for Whipeing off compounds,Sealents etc. Then I have 2 Viper White MF's Ultra Fine these are for Wax's sealents etc. I also have 2 Blue MF's Super Plush from Autofiber.com they are great for QD etc. I wouldent Dye your MF's If you want Different color MF's Why look elsewhere then PakShack. ???

I usally go thru 4 MF's in a full exterior Detail.

Tmiller, I can scientifically say that I go through an even or odd bunch when I detail.:lmfao

Depends on what you do, how much you do, how long you need to do it, and, most importantly, how many you drop on the ground (I dropped two MFs in a row the other day:doh ).

Just be generous in your use. Go to a clean MF when common sense tells you to.:crazy

My friend just bought 50 towels in 3 different colors from Ranney Pak. Great customer service and reasonable pricing on high quality towels. I know he gives a substantial discount if you if you ask for the "Autopia Special".

PakShak website

Ranney: If you're listening, when can we expect to see "Detail City Special" pricing? :dcrules
