Swirled and Egged Porsche

I have been working on a clients car that was egged awhile back, twice, and it not only stained the paint but it also bubbled the clear in a few spots. It is really disgusting that people do these types of things to such beautiful cars...well any car really!

Since he may trade the car in next year he is trying to avoid a re-paint of the area because re-paints almost always suck. So he asked me what I can do with it and I told him straight out that the bubbled and cracked clear are beyond my abilities but I might be able to lighten up the egg stains. Here are a few BEFORE pictures of the cracked clear and swirls/scratches.

The red circle shows where the egg impacted and then cracked or etched the clear.

Now a few AFTER pics. Because I am so busy right now I can only work on this project as time permits. So I had enough time today to finish the rear area only and I hope to post more BEFORE and AFTER pictures of the rest of the car by Friday.

The angle of the AFTER pictures is a bit different from the BEFORE and for that I apologize. The egg stains are still there but ar enow very hard to see unless you look for them. The cracked clear is obviously still noticable but not as bad.

Ahhhh HEAVEN!
I can never get enough Porsche pics, keep 'em comin'.
Oh and if he know who did it I know a couple guys up here whose middle names are "the", if you know what I mean... ;)

Thanks Anthony
:D

Frozen,

I used Akrya's 600 grit heat induced paint leveler with an orange pad and then Light Cut with various pads, from polishing to finishing. Hand rubbed with AIO.

I hope to finish the rest of the car tomorrow and I'll post soemmore pics.

Thanks,
Anthony

Damn thats a sweet Porsche:cool: I cant believe someone would egg a Porsche. The after pics look great, nice work

Thanks all for the compliments:)

The interior is not all that bad, just kinda grimy but nothing too heavy. This used to be a regular weekly wash for me but his office moved so he is not in the area as often as he used to be.

I'll try and take afew before and after shots of the interior and post those also.

Now it's time for dessert and then bed.

AFTER shot of the hood. It came out pretty good but I really hate the paint chips. Invicishield would of helped alot but now the damage is done.

Koop,

Invicishield is the 3M clear bra that is applied to the front of cars to protect the paint from rocks and stuff.

VERY NICE job. Looks great

Yes that 3M stuff is neato, my dad's 72 Stingray has it on there.

Can anything get through that? Is there any point to me applying a sealant to it?

That is just a work of art Anthony.
Akrya's 600 grit heat induced paint leveler with an orange pad
IM sure Im the only one who has no idea about that .... heat induced paint leveler? Orange pad?

CoastalEddy and I had a bug today that it looked like bird crap had eaten the clear. The clear looked bubbled and cracked a bit. What grade paper would you think would work or do you think something like what you mentioned would be better to fix?
